I gave in to my intrusive thoughts and put a Kidd bull barrel on it...not sure that was a great idea for a gopher getter but it is what it is now. Sure do like the diamond back tactical 4-16 . Almost perfect I think for a semi auto like this.

Oberndorf Mauser Mm 410 B clip-fed sporter, circa 1939. Custom stock. 14.75 in. LOP. It has a nice grip cap, nearly identical to the one still sold by NECG (Traditional Trap Grip Cap R-406, Odds & Ends | New England Custom Gun Service, Ltd ), but finely engraved and with still a trace of the original color case hardening. The bore is also very good.
