R9 Prohibited FRT

Unfortunately, dam near everyone is complying. I don't see people using, selling or buying anything the government has arbitrarily banned. I post a wtb, it gets removed, I post something for sale, I get a temp ban and it gets removed. Canadians will roll tf over like they always do.
Or, worse still, keep voting Liberal.

That addiction is impossible to break it seems and I cannot understand why.

there are still plenty of guns trading hands, just not in the open in places where agents of the state can see it happening.
The tighter the govt grips, the more people will ignore them. The black market will increase and the govt will lose even more control as people realize purchasing a semi auto is no more illegal than purchasing a full auto.

not surprised. didnt buy one for this reason. i won't be buying anything else, either, until i see something let up. watch the henry homesteader come next.
Then you let the lieberals win. They are trying to dissuade people from owning guns and you have complied.

At the 3:00 minute mark the genius himself called the R9 a shrunk down version on the Mk18. Once the RCMP determined the R18 is an AR180b variant, then of course they would determine the R9 is also a prohib variant, based on what the “designer” said himself. This should have been no surprise…
The R9 is not a shrunk down R18. It has a completely different operating system. If a pistol caliber direct blowback carbine is a "variant" of a rifle caliber, gas operated, piston rifle then basically any firearm can be a variant of any other firearm. If this is the standard for a variant then how is a 44 mag lever rifle not a variant of an AR15?

Or is it a "variant" because it physically resembles the R18? In which case, every 22 rimfire replica is now a variant of the rifle or SMG it is trying to resemble ... which is just stupid.

not really. i just had no interest in owning it.

not really. i just had no interest in owning it.

But WHY did you have no interest in owning it? Because it was likely to be banned? Or because you just didn''t like the tactical Black platform for some strange reason.....

You just said yourself that the reason you didn't buy one was because you thought it would be banned. So....... ???

I'm guessing "the lab" will drop the Alcor FRT update over the Christmas break - my guess is AR variant 😂

Also, while we're on the subject of "the lab". Imagine you're some constable who gets posted there thinking you're going to do investigations, catch criminals - you know, police work. But instead, most of your job is just make work to come up with ridiculous justifications to reach predetermined outcomes given to you by politicians. Imagine how little self respect you would have to do that every day.

just wasn't interested in dropping $2k on a pcc. considering an M&P 15 goes for like $700, hard to justify buying some random 9mm turkish pcc for twice that. and yes, the fact that the frt wasn't confirmed also swayed my decision, but was not the ultimate end all be all of why i didn't buy it.

i buy things i like. regardless of impending doom. which is why i continue to legally buy pistols under my exemption status.

The “designer” himself said the R9 is a shrink down version of the R18. The RCMP SFSS use manufacturers sales/marketing in making their classification determinations. This should be well known by now, especially to someone like jr cox. As soon as he said that, he tied the R9s fate to the R18. Once the R18 went prohib he should have stopped all sales of the R9 and informed the dealers selling the R9. But of course he didn’t. Which should also be of no surprise to anyone who knows his history.
