Anyone hunting new to them rifles this year?

Looks like it wants to shoot too.

I shot this 1st group with it yesterday at 50yds while sighting it in. Note date typo. :)

The good news is that it likes Remington 200gr Core Lokts. The bad news is that news is that's all I had (5 rounds) and you can't buy them any more. :(

Didn't I send you a whack of .358 bullets? I was out to the range tonight... my .350 RM carbine [250 Partitions) and. 458 carbine (400 Barnes Original SSP's) are shooting bug holes, my 7.62X56 HC (180 Accubonds) is always great, but the 7 PRC (168 LRX) I was planning to take for moose, needs more work than I have time for at the moment, so trotting out the .375 WSM (235 TSX) for the week.

You certainly did send me a good supply of 250gr Speer HCs. This was the 1st time I fired this rifle so was burning up a few odds and ends bullets zeroing the scope and doing a small break in. The Remington bullets were a part of this. The Speers you sent are up next. They should be a handful in that little rifle. Also will change out those rings to something a bit nicer.

Not a new rifle this year but i do tend to pick a different main rifle each year.

Before the season starts i'll bring a few to the range to check their zero and make sure everything is still good before the season and each time one just gives me a good feeling. Sometimes it's group size, consistency, recoil, or just a feeling that things will go well.

This year it's a browning Abolt III in .270 shooting superformance 140gr SST's. We will see starting Monday morning when the season opens if the good feeling holds up.

No new rifles to take out, but my take-down stainless Cva scout 35 whelen has never been deer hunting. If the weather sucks, I think I’ll take it along. I’ll be tenting out in the bush and it’s by far the quickest and easiest rifle to wipe down after returning to camp.
