Anyone hunting new to them rifles this year?

This rifle I had for 4 years, however did not hunt with it. Plan to use it this autumn..............300 H&H, shooting 165 grain accubonds..
I have changed my mind. I did not practice enough this autumn with the kipplauf, (300 H&H Mag) therefore I'll be using my 30-06 and 240 Weatherby............shame on me!

There were issues with this rifle when it was first introduced. Extraction problems or our of spec chambers I want to say, but can't remember 100%.

Have you had any issues with your rifle? They really are striking and I'd love to get one if Uberti has cleaned up their problems.
Zero. Except they must’ve used red Loctite on the rear iron sights set screw for elevation and screw for windage. I recently installed a marbles tang sight which suits it way better than scoped.
Groups well with PPU 180grs sp

Tikka T3X, IBI Mountain Lite barrel, chambered in 6.5 PRC and bolt fluted by Corlane, Rokstok, Vortex LHT in Sportsmatch rings.

A new Christensen’s Arms Ridgeline in 6.5PRC sporting a Burris Veracity PH scope. That rife is a shooter with 143 grain bullets. I just got two boxes of Burger 156 grain EOL Hunters to try out, laod development starts tomorrow!

And a new to me 1917 .303 that shoot factory 180 grainers like a champ. Hitting gongs to 500 meters, the adjustable sight works like a hot damn. My old eyes can’t see the gongs with open sights beyond that. Lol

Thats a beaut!!! Congrats!

I keep going back to 30-06. It's just like 7x57 and 8x57. They just work well. No need for anything else.

Same here, apparently! Other cartridges interest me more, but...its there, its available, cool rifles chambered for it, etc.

Was supposed to be using a pre 64 shown earlier in the thread, but things changed as they often do. I just really like Stainless Classics. Stocks been trimmed to 13.5" which I could take or leave, but it does have a nice Limbsaver on it. Real smooth to shoot. Only thing with this one is the follower is black plastic? Was that factory?

Certainly bigger deer back there, but get meat in the freezer first, then try for that.

Need? Need?!? 😳

What are you guys talking about? 🤨
I keep a list of all the guns I've ever bought. While I have been good the last few years downsizing, that list tells me I've bought 290 centerfire rifles alone. "Need" is word I really need to use these days and on to of that I have no compunction whatsoever to own many more guns than I actually use on a regular basis. :)

Love those stock, can we get some details on it?
Go on the Rokslide forum. Its a stock that was developed in collaboration between a few individuals and companies. They had a fairly unique negative comb. They're being sold by Unknown Munition and made by Stocky's. I ordered mine directly from Unknown Munition but they are also sold in Canada by Go Big Tactical.

No, its a 20 year old barrel that I had installed on a Rugrr MKII. Decided to save some weight and I had it treaded on a Tikka.

Bevan was a great guy to deal with. Old school. He stopped in for a coffee while on a swing through the Maritimes with his wife. I owed him some money so got that looked after as well during the visit as well. Those guys are getting fewer and fewer.

My 257 Roberts was done by him on a 700. It has become a favourite.

Not a new rifle, but put my old tikka T3 .308 in an MDT XRS. Holds much more comfortably for longer shots, haven't had any targets beyond 500y but will do that nicely
