Okay last one fir us newbies
What questions? It's a short stroke piston, gas operated semi-auto. They are a simple design that is easy to take apart, once you've figured out how to wrestle the trigger guard loose. One more . I’m going to have questions
Right, if it's hard to remove then it's probably safety in the wrong position. Also, a punch or a philips screwdriver can be used instead of a round to push that button.Trigger assembly is easy to remove
Put the safety on and use a 7.62x39 round to push the button on the back of the trigger guard, it even has a divot on it to hold the tip of the bullet from slipping off
Once it pops just unhinge it from the front
Some of them are pretty tight. Once you have the hang of it then it is not a problem. Sort of like reassembling a Ruger Mk.1/2/3/4 pistol.Trigger assembly is easy to remove

Yep there goes another reference I have not heard . Bullet Hose ?
It’s not a precision weapon… bore condition like that will have minimal effect on accuracy on this platform. Heck… I have k98 heavily frosted bore that shoot like a laser.
Scianna ! I need to look back on the thread and see what your recommendations were .A Savage Axis is quite accurate. Let him have it.
The SKS was always the most fun to shoot and modify, ever since I started with the sport, and everybody else I introduced thinks the same. It is just fun. So many bashers out there. Who cares.

As you and others might have guessed I purchased the coming SKS due to my YouTube travels , inquisitiveness , history of it .
I doubt I would hunt with it as I have rifles for that . I would like to make it as accurate as possible and have Safe Fun with it .
Maybe get hired out for wedding receptions with volleys into the heavens .
Thanks for responding to my prior posts everyone !never mind.
Never mind ? Sorry never mind what ?
Just a bit of silliness set in .I'm guessing the goofy wedding receptions comment
Almost exclusively surplus, because I have a lot of it. The only reason I would be shooting brass cased ammo would be to hunt with my SKS and I have other milsurps I prefer for that. What ammunition do you fellas use mostly . Steel or Brass cased ?
Thank You
Brass indoor, surplus everywhere elseWhat ammunition do you fellas use mostly . Steel or Brass cased ?
Thank You
anything non corrosiveWhat ammunition do you fellas use mostly . Steel or Brass cased ?
Thank You
Hmmm. Well they claim Red Box made after 2019 is non corrosive . But that’sanything non corrosive
With brass case: PPU, MFS, PMC if i could find them
With steel case: Barnaul
I am planning to get some Norinco Red box as the bills are tough these days, just worry if they are really non corrosive
