COMING SOON: Adler Arms RF224 11.7'' Shorty Tacticool 22 LR Rifle *Open for Backorder*

I’ve only been to the range once, the cross pin that stops the bolt from traveling back won’t stay put. It dropped out twice in less than 50 rounds. The 597 adapter is crap. I tried several mags, factory and aftermarket and they will not even fit in the adapter. I only shot off the bench at 25 yards with a scope. Only took a few rounds to zero. If I can keep the pin in place it probably will be a fun plinker but not impressed so far.
Does the pin in question need to be removed to do basic maintenance?
If not, a drop of loctite on both ends might do the job, you could also try raising a bit of metal on the pin by stippling it if you have any appropriate hand tools... I have an old elctro engraver that I don't even remember where it came from that would likely be ideal to raise a bit of the steel pins surface and increase the "bite".

Can you post a picture of the pin and it's location on the gun?

The pin does have some stripling on it so I applied some blue lock tight. I’ll try it next weekend. I’m not very tech savvy but will try to post pic

A wipe down with some isopropyl alcohol and some loctite applied should help big time, does the pin need to be frequently removed for cleaning or general maintenance?

Mine took quite a bit of file work to get to function properly in an SBI receiver.

Opened up the slot at the rear, filed the top of the tall feed lip down, ramped the rear of it, etc. It's a PITA, and still ammo sensitive.

Had I know how much better the Deryas run I wouldn't have messed with the Tuf mags.

My $200 TM22 Standard runs like a sewing machine on ammo my 10/22s choke on.
Yeah the bolt definitely gets caught up on the rear of the magazines and feed lips.

I'll try filing them down a bit. Thanks.

Do yours work well now?

They’re okay. As long as I use round nose MiniMags or Golden Bullets. CCI Standard are decent as well but I have to run a light recoil spring for them.

Had they not been so expensive I would have pitched them in the trash.
