Does the pin in question need to be removed to do basic maintenance?I’ve only been to the range once, the cross pin that stops the bolt from traveling back won’t stay put. It dropped out twice in less than 50 rounds. The 597 adapter is crap. I tried several mags, factory and aftermarket and they will not even fit in the adapter. I only shot off the bench at 25 yards with a scope. Only took a few rounds to zero. If I can keep the pin in place it probably will be a fun plinker but not impressed so far.
If not, a drop of loctite on both ends might do the job, you could also try raising a bit of metal on the pin by stippling it if you have any appropriate hand tools... I have an old elctro engraver that I don't even remember where it came from that would likely be ideal to raise a bit of the steel pins surface and increase the "bite".
Can you post a picture of the pin and it's location on the gun?
