I never chased tight groups before but then I picked up a 10/22 competition custom shop and got 10mm groups at 50m with a $40 Simmons scope and had an awakening.
Also that was with new production Remington thunderbolt on a bag rest which made the range day extra unusual. I switched from S&B standard and the target went from typical 22LR scatter plot to clovers which was jaw dropping. I need to set up and collect the data for the 1/2 group thread.
I went with the 10/22 CSC because I didn't have any desire to "build" a gun and spend lots of money on shipping and fettling.
The features and the sum of the custom shop's work is excellent and delivers as much accuracy as anyone can expect from a 10/22.
My guns like Aguila so the need for premium ammo is moot if you ask me.
