School me on SKS’s

My FT had a pinned one. I had to dremel the pin out.

Gotcha! Doesn't look like theres much choice, things seem quite set in their ways lol.

Actually a response I just saw elsewhere said its the early ones that are least likely to be pinned? The 1963 I am lookin at now definitely is

Wanting to get to the cleaning of the SKS and Buck had referenced some pipe cleaners and swabs for doing so . I think the ones Buck mentioned are no longer made .
What pipe cleaners do you fellas use ?
What lint free swabs do you use ?
Links would be appreciated !
Thank You !

Still never seen these SKS with good bores that will hold 2" at 100 yards. Let alone "plenty doing better than that"

Lots of claims. Never saw.

Good bore, good stock fit, etc etc I think if you took a bunch of SKS and said "I'll give you 10 bucks if a 5 shot group from one is over 3" and you give me 10 bucks if its 3" or less" I'd leave with a lot more money lol. Even the new French Ticklers seem to be 4" consistent propositions and they're from the 80s and supposedly the nicest made Chinese.

They're great at what they are for. Outstanding minute of man, goes bang every time examples of 1940s battle rifles. But....yeah. Not gonna trash talk too hard, the average guy with an iron sighted Win 94 is a 4 MOA proposition or worse and thats supposed to be just classic as it gets for deer
