Reloader 26 prices

Kicking around the idea of freeing up some cash does anyone know what a 8 pound jug and 1 pound containers of reloader 26 or selling for in Canada?
Over the past year, I have viewed price-tags between $120 to $175 per pound, from private sales, not from retailers.

The answer to you're question is: Reloder #26 offers what handloaders love, higher velocities, accompanied with accuracy. Because of it's rarity and extreme cost, I reduced my consumption from two rifles to one.
What caliber is performing for you with it? Just curious because I load 95.0gr RL-25 under a .308” 180gr Accubond 300 RUM @3350 fps chronographed. Always 3 shots 1” or less at 100m with #1&2 touching or almost touching. Notwithstanding, I’ve never needed a second shot since I got the rifle, a LH Rem 700 LSS, a couple years after the 300 RUM hit the market. Severe arthritis necessitated a muzzle brake eventually BUT if I had a buddy with me I never fired until he had his ears on.

*edited to add the brake notation and how I handled it.

You and I are on the same page, regarding a few things. (three shot groups, high velocity and tight groups), not the big magnums though. I use reloder #26 in my 270 Winchester and 240 Weatherby. Because of reloader #26 rarity, I now exclusively use it in the 270 Win. I switched to H-4831SC for the 240 Wby. Here are some results with both cartridges. Velocities with the 240 Wby. is averaged at 3,682 fps with a 90 grain accubond. Now 3,604 with H-4831SC with a 85 grain partition. If I have to pay 200 bucks a pound to reload I think I will quit reloading
Wouldn’t be worth it anymore
As was said there are other options available even if they aren’t as good you can still keep shooting
Maybe those competitive guys who are looking for any advantage they can get don’t care about 200 buck a pound powder
The US has got small shipments of Alliant powders from time to time but nothing up here

I'll bet they don't have any left, and can't get any.
So I just called them now, at 208-667-7831......:)

Oddly enough two skids of reloading powder were delivered yesterday, but the fellow did not know what was on it. (not received into inventory yet)

These guys at Black Sheep have been in Coeur d'Alene since 1976, tough to beat their prices and selection on hunting stuff......:)

And you are correct, Reloader 26 is currently not on their shelves.......:(
