You might want to double check the hunting regulationsI thought about this some more, and you can easily add a spring to a spring powered rifle and be over the 500 fps mark, so I suppose it is the same thing. Only reason I am concerned, is I want to use it for grouse hunting in the fall, so potentially I could run into a CO. If that occurs I want to make sure I am legal in any way possible.
And I have used a under 500 air gun for grouse hunting before, it kills them just fine.

Really up to you to make sure you are within the laws.Reading comprehension seems to be an issue here. My point is, I purchased this gun as a under 500 fps handgun, which is 100% legal to own and shoot. You can also hunt upland game with one as well (shot all my grouse last year with a under 500 fps gun).
I have not modified this gun in any way, but I obviously mess around with my guns and on the breech there is a set screw, messing around with it, I notice changes velocity. A quick Google confirms that it is a adjustable transfer port that is accessible without removing anything from the gun. Seems far to easy to adjust was my point as you can thread it out with a Allan wrench.
It's not like I am taking the gun apart and adjusting regulators or hammer springs. I want to use it for hunting as its small and quiet, which makes it handy for long hikes hunting birds in often rough terrain.
Better smash the thing to pieces quickly, just to be safe and not break any laws.To be clear, this model is widely sold here as a under 500 fps air pistol. I currently have it set for under 500 fps. However (if you watch some videos on this model) you can adjust a screw and it will shoot far over the 500 fps mark. I plan to lock the screw down with another set screw, just hoping this is sufficient. It would be a Restricted pistol with the screw up. I do have a RPAL, but I have no desire for a restricted air pistol. Maybe I am overthinking this, I guess it is similar to a rivet in a magazine, you can easily remove it as well.
I agree! Destroy that gun immediately. HahahBetter smash the thing to pieces quickly, just to be safe and not break any laws.
Ahh, Schrodinger's gat, it's simultaneously legal and illegal until you tell us the model and collapse the wave functionReading comprehension seems to be an issue here.
