Another great option is a Ruger 77/44 or a 77/357. I have both of those and honestly they get 10 times to use that anything else in my safe gets

As pointed out you should be able to get a good pre 64 winchester 94 for around a grand or an older Marlin and either one would fit in with your collection.

As also pointed out, don't sell the SKS and ammo.....

Depending on how much 7.62X39 you've got maybe consider a cheaper bolt action or single shot to take some load off the SKS.

SKS's are perfect dust collectors...... and easy to dust off when needed.

Yeah, got 3 of them already, all single shots, 2 12G and a .410. I've had several pumps and semis over the years but always seem to get rid of them

Maybe try a nice SxS on clays. Plenty of sub 1000 options on the used racks.

So thinking of selling the SKS and ammo and maybe getting something new( or new to me). Its in pretty mint condition but I don't ever take it out anymore, just sits there collecting dust.

Currently I have a .223, 243, 308, 30-06, a couple 303 Brits, and many 22lr rifles. So nothing in those calibers.

I was thinking maybe a lever in 30-30, or maybe some sort of combo gun. Got an itch to get something new, just don't know what I want

Depends on what you hunt or what your intended use for said new to you rifle is. No offense intended but you've got mostly vanilla cartridges and some duplicity. Betting you don't use all you listed equally so least used would be my first adios. 308 vs 30-06 pretty similar other than long action/short action. You can use the .223 on Albertas big game animals so the .243 could probably bid
adieu.

You're an Alberta guy. Should own one of the most Alberta cartridges, that being a 7rm. Toast the .243 and one of the 30 cals. Buy one very nice 7rm or .284 something. STW, PRC for examples. Chances are its the only one you'll use if you do. Contrary to many popular opinions the 06 offers very little over the .284s and isn't really close to a couple of them. Bonus being you can do away with the suspenders and Fudd hat.
