The Yugoslavian M-48 Mauser discussion and photo thread

Those ZRACK scopes look amazing...I'm am so close to just buying my own M48 and setting one up for that style of shooting.

I keep being distracted by Steyr's and Carcanos...little time for my Mauser. I did however buy 180 rounds of Portuguese surplus ammo which is considered to be some of the finest 8mm you can shoot. I'll have to bring a box over to the island this summer ;)

That sounds great Coffice.
I've been hand loading all my ammo so far but I'd like to try some mil surp, just so long as it's not machine gun ammo.

The weather is starting to improve, so maybe some shooting in the back field may happen soon. Happy Happy- I got the blessing from the provincial CFO to continue shooting here (but not as an "approved" range. -That requires about 500 tonnes of soil and a whole bunch of money.)

Hey M48 fans! I recently found a M48 barreled action that had been sporterized to 308win. I have had a hell of a time finding a stock to put it in and a bottom metal to attach it to. Any ideas on if anybody has a line where a guy could get these parts?

I have a m48bo that's in excellent condition with no stamped parts and still has the serial numbers in pencil on the stock from the arsenal. I'll have to dig it out and post a picture.
Sad to say but she's going up for sale soon. Going to be moving next year and have to cull the herd.
Awesome heavy war machines

I have the same rifle and would not sell it, hang on for a while and reconsider, you might regret selling it.

Where would one purchase the Zrak scope and scope bases to make faux M48 sniper rifle. I figure I got shot at enough by those rifles, might as well own one.
