Those ZRACK scopes look amazing...I'm am so close to just buying my own M48 and setting one up for that style of shooting.
I keep being distracted by Steyr's and Carcanos...little time for my Mauser. I did however buy 180 rounds of Portuguese surplus ammo which is considered to be some of the finest 8mm you can shoot. I'll have to bring a box over to the island this summer

I've been hand loading all my ammo so far but I'd like to try some mil surp, just so long as it's not machine gun ammo.
The weather is starting to improve, so maybe some shooting in the back field may happen soon. Happy Happy- I got the blessing from the provincial CFO to continue shooting here (but not as an "approved" range. -That requires about 500 tonnes of soil and a whole bunch of money.)
