They real reason they went bankrupt because Democrat America decided it could blame school shootings on gunmakers rather than the person who pulled the trigger and they gave up the fight in court when the school wouldn't release the evidence they requested. At least they didn't set a precedent case for that BS before paying up and selling off.
I have seen these pads on Remingtons (post1) and have thought how uggerly they look.

Yes thats a factory pad and I knew exactly which one it was gonna be before I saw it hahaha.
Why they would inflict whats supposed to be a classic, nice wood stock with that POS is beyond me
And they weren't even good pads anyway. They shoulda really saved cost and put no pad at all to appeal to the chest thumpers

I'd imagine making dogsh*t guns had something to do with all the rest of them lol. I can respect the features of the action but the implementation became poor
Remember around 2010 taking off barrels that were a hot dog down a hallway fit in receivers with loctite covering that up lol. Bolt lugs making like 50% contact on one side and 30% on the other. How many iterations of the triggers? Bolt handles welded on off time so that they have no primary extration. That awful matte finish they give them. Heavy barreled target rifles with the scope base holes drilled so far off I needed windage adjustable mounts...
When they made nice ones though, have no problem sayin yeah they were nice. But lets face it, they are a case study in running a business into the ground with or without "Democrat America"

I don’t know what you see..but no matter how I tried to blow it up..there is no Rem logo to be seen.
Rem aftermarket pad were available as single aftermarket unit.
I just googled it Paul, and you are correct, they did make them with those big azzed recoil pads on them!

My friend handled thousand of Remington rifles as a dealer and never -ever saw this. I take his world anytime over your statement.
One clue that it is not stock is the fact that the black spacer is not contoured to the pad while original have no steps and are contoured.

Remington just make a couple bad decision in the row and now . They buy h&r and close it , when those was the most sale guns around the world . They buy marlin and scrap it , remington 770 and 710 sooo bad , remington 887 another bad idea cost more then they gain
100000% a factory Rem pad they called that model of rifle the CDL or "Classic Deluxe"

Certainly is factory, they used these ridiculous pads during last few years of production before bankruptcy. they put them on the 12g Wingmaster too….giant ugly chunks of rubber.
Why is every listing showing it with that pad, including lots showing the actual rifle for sale and not a generic photo, unreliable?
I'm not even gonna get into having miraculously seen them in person and bought one (hallelujah) when your friend saw thousands upon thousands of Rem 700s and never came upon a CDL. I just wonder how you can justify the above, if its so ridiculous an idea.
No, Cat. You see, its all just some weird gaslighting. That rifle isn't real, Remington has no idea what they sell. And ALL the pictures of the CDL online are fake or have aftermarket pads. ALL of them. And someone surreptitiously put aftermarket pads on the ones we see in stores or even purchased right out of the box.
It was just the worlds biggest conspiracy pulled on soooo many people who were all none the wiser.
