The TAVOR

I wish the dot could be turned off. I could use the sights, and actually I found them to be better than using the dot alone.
I was shooting pie plates at 100meters. I couldn't see the plates. In the youtube video, you can see me look beside the scope, to see what I was aiming at.
While I agree, they might be decent at 20 meters, there must be better alternatives out there. I am glad I ordered the rail, to give me those options.

The dot is meant for CQB. Not sniping.

I didn't meant it was for anything else than CQB, but it doesn't do any justice for the rifle when trying to hit bulleyes at 50m and up. It is an obvious negative yet doesn't take off the fun at all.

Finally. i put ACOG on my Tavor.

Now that would probably be a better solution for the way you have to get so close to the stock to line up the dot.
I found I couldn't even use ear muffs, just plugs. They got in the way.

Nice rail, did you get it from CanAm?

No. I Modify one Riser mount and put the other Riser mount one top.
Cause for ACOG .you can't use one Riser. If use one Riser.Too low for eye level.
Like you said .couldn't even use ear muffs.and Aim the taget.
i find out Two Riser mount is just right.the eye level is just perfect.

This is the lower Modify Riser mount.

What do I need to make this work?Do I have to wait till the rails are built or do you have them?

Grouping size

Since the rifle is in Canada for a while now (1 month), just want to compare and see what is the grouping accuracy of the rifle before I contact Canada Ammo.
Since everyone is saying the MERPO 21 is not the best sight, just as a comparison - what type of grouping size can one expect at 50 m? So far, I can only get about 4.5 in at 50 m (which is better than the 8 inch grouping when I got the rifle).

This is me resting the arms on a bench to shoot. No gun vice, no sand bag - just my 2 hands holding the rifle.

No. All my riser mount just buy from Gun show today. $ 60.00 for two.
you only do a little modify the riser mount.
let said cut the mount ,

that is.i used 45 mins to do the jobs.

this is new look for my Tavor.

I seemed to get around the same thing with a 40 rounds group. Its easy to hit the target with the mepro, but to get any pin-point accuracy is a little more difficult without any reference point (or just practice) On another thread somebody got a 1.2 inch group at 100m with a scope. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=248256

tyc147, is that a fake can you got there ? Are the muzzle threads the same as the ar15's ?

Thanks. At least I know I am not the only one having trouble doing a tight grouping.
I agree that the MEPRO is great for fast target "tracking" on a human size target. I will try to move to 75 m and 100 m and see what happen with just the MEPRO.
Who know I may have to upgrade to the 4x mag scope.

After I live fire on range with ACOG . I see

Acog eye Refief is 1.5 in. not very comforable to used for the bullpup system. And i find out

The EOtech is the best for Tavor.
