thats true but if the shroud is CONSIDERED PART of the reciever its automatically considered a converted autoStrange as it may seem, it's the reciever that is considered the reciever.

ill pm ya with some details
He has a point. It's worth it to check, because if you send it to them and they decide the shroud is an integral part of the reciever, you aren't getting it back.
This thread makes me wish I had the skills to make something like this. I rather like to old style SMG's
R711 OUT
well it can be gotten back but its NOT easy. as now it would be a prohibited weapon thats NOT registered and NOT grandfathered
DIFAT would be VERY interested on how it came to be......
the rcmp would NOT charge you as your trying to comply
it would have to be transfered to a bussiness thats allowed to have them and thats ONLY if the RCMP allowed it thay can say no and you lose your gun
spencer thats the easy part makeing a new shrourd
see what the rcmp weapons techs say if its removeable you may be allright but stranger things have and do happen with the rcmp! they will work with you but its not allways easy and often makes ZERO sense
The barrel is obviously removable - therefore the shroud is NOT part of the receiver, unlike the PPsH series...I don't really see how they can say the barrel jacket is a part of the reciever as it's a detatchable part, but if they do say it's a part of the reciever then they can keep it, I will make another one.
I'm in the gun making mode now, there is no stopping me.![]()

Nice work - nothing like a 10 pound 9mm, eh!![]()

I wonder if a Firearm Officer could take possession of it, and send it in? It would then be transported in an official capacity, and an ATT, etc. would be irrelevant.
Tomorrow I will get it sighted in. After this I will tidy up then give it it's finish.
