pic of an AR from the range today...

all AR15 selector switches are made that way. a telescoping stock doesnt make it a C8. When having the bolt held back the safety cannot be put into position, and the charging handle is just hanging there because the guy probably wanted others to know the gun is empty/chamber open.

FAIL!!! The selector on the AR platform functions as advertised once the hammer is cocked. This is true whether the bolt be locked to the rear or not. Perhaps a little more hands on with your AR will clear this up.

We only have a 50yd rifle range at our club. I put my rifle scope on backwards so I can pretend it's a 300yd range.:sniper:

An Aimpoint has no magnification, being backwards only means that the dot will be very very faint (hard to see).

Also the selector position in that picture is in the "fire" mode, not 'Safe'. 'Safe' would have the knob towards the back (arrow pointing forward).

The handguard looks mid-length, so I am guessing a 16" barrel.

That's a nice Aimpoint, the M4, new model on the market.

:p once the hammer is dropped? I gotta go fondle with my little bushmaster now...:D

So, good. No OL for rifles. That is about what I thought but could not find in the Official Rulebook. I knew about the 105mm rule for pistols.. I have been dealing with that since it was enacted.

FWIW, I happen to like my AR-15. It is quite nice and will be a fairly easy step up from .22 for new shooters before going all out. It looks very nice in my locker between the L1A1 and the Vz-52/57. Best part of it is that I can, with the proper permission, still kill all the paper I want with it.

Thanks for the info.

It's awesome how he mounted that shotgun to his aimpoint as well, and then mounted the whole thing to his right leg in place of his foot. Cherry Darling mounted it the other way though, towards the zombies. Perspective is everything.
