I think Frontier deserves some credit for bringing in this shipment (I won't get any, I am way down on the list). At least they are moving things. I understand where 1bigrn is coming from, but calling it “bad business” because the price is different is unfair. Are we saying that they should have refused this shipment because they wouldn't be able to retail it at the previously offered prices?
I am registered with both Frontier and S.I.R. (1 each). Frankly, I have been wondering about the practicality of their pricing ($229 and 165) as I have been following SKS deals on GUNBROKER for a few months now. The going price for a Rooski in good to very good is U$300-400. Maybe that is why these shipments are not coming through i.e. no supplier is willing to sell them at below market price! If that is the case I would like to know now!
You can not compare US & Can gun prices .What is available in one country may not be in the next . In this case WE have the advantage as these rifles are not allowed into the US

correct but you can compare these prices to last year prices (canada 2007) before frontier/SIR annoucement , very good condition russian SKS45 were selling for $400 and thats if you could find one .
And was there 800 people lined up waiting to buy them ?
that would be against economic principles , the higher the price the lesser the demand so to answer your question , no , not 800 people , maybe 400 .
who knows?
That's funny It doesn't work that way with oil . The demand for oil is dropping because of the economy and gas prices are falling
We will not be offering and hand selection on thse rifles (nothing un issued or all matching)
This shipment of SKS's is the Duke Nukem Forever of the gun world.![]()
