Yeah with probably the best factory ammo...not S&B shyte like the Glock ran on. Also it looks like most of the FTE were limp wristing....cool test....love my g19.

I am at about the same round count with my 17 and I haven't had a single problem as well. I have tried JHP, TCFMJ, FMJ and 115, 147 grain. But then again I own a ScorpoGlock LOL...
Yeah, I rest my case unless you're a frequent cut & paster from AR15.com.
Mine & my friend's Glocks are still going strong and flawless so far.

Yup, but George Wedge gave me a set of parts for the Jarret pistols and things have been good since then.
You guys are missing the most important conclusion the guy making the video came to. 'the Glock will still function as it self destructs' Enough for me. Also, it's fair to assume that some of those 100 or so mags would have been in less than stellar shape. 1000 rnds on a pistol? I don't remember if that's slow, or fast rate on a machine gun...Pretty fuggen impressive if you ask me. I'm now even more sold on Glock. Interesting thread!!
what if the mags he used towards the end were not "factory" or really well used ?
"factory" mags are known to stick as well if I understand it correctly, and I don't see why "really well used" would cause them to stick the way they were. But I admit I don't know a lot about the issue.

Not sure what a test like this proves as it would have no practical value in the real world. Glocks are great pistols but they are mechanical devices and they do break just like any other mechanical device. Just like other guns do.
I would own one in a heart beat if they ever get around to changing the grip angle on the gun. They likely won't and neither will I.

I dont mind shooting glocks, they are easy to operate. But I am not impressed that the guide rod melted... I am however impressed that it was still shooting after the fact. Its an interesting test. I would be suprised if not most of the major pistol manufactueres would be capable of performing well.
I doubt any of the mags were faulty, I also doubt the ammo was a big issue, S&B is not necesarilly bad ammo. Im leaning towards tireing hands.
A Sig Sauer on the other hand would have preformed much better in a similar stress test

I have to agree there, if you're carrying 1,000 rounds of pistol ammo your priorities require adjustment - especially if you're in a place where you can use 1,000 rounds.

No offense taken, but have a look at my signature line. I think it says something about being a Glock kool-aid drinker.

What can cause hang ups is a burr on the magazine cut-out on the magazines themsevles. The burr appears over repeated use and can cause the mag to stick. I take a razor and shave the burrs off when they become an issue.
