I think an HK squeezcocker trigger would have melted long before the end of that test.

Well your going to damage any handgun firing that many rounds in such a short time. These gun are not meant to be shot til there red hot.
so buy a metal guide rod and be done with it. How is it a crappy pistol?

I am a proud owner and heavy believer in my G17, but have always wondered if the same durability and reliability is to be expected in the .40 .45 .357SIG 10mm and now this .50 (ouch) guns?
