Just got off the phone with the Canadian Firearms Centre's technical guru's.
...As the receiver is the only part that is registered - once classified restricted - it is always restricted - even if you put a longer barrel or standard stock back on.
I cannot believe people call them for their opinion, they want to ban guns.
1) did he/she site the portion of the act that makes the PG shotgun restricted?
2) Nonsense, restricteds are converted to non all the time. M1 carbines, Beretta storms, etc. Just more propaganda from the CFC. I cannot believe people call them for their opinion, they want to ban guns.
They say it is a handgun, thus restricted, because they cannot use the short barrel laws, because it is a factory gun that does not fold, telescope or other (i.e. use a button to shorten)I don't know what kind of guru you talked to but it's either a non-rest shotgun or a prohib one. It doesn't turn into "restricted".
And that is exactly how they control us.I just don't want to be the test case (even if I may be 100% "legally" right).
Anyone chrono'd anything out of one of these yet...?
just purchased myself one of the 8.5" ones, im eagerly awaiting its arrival in the mail!
