New Norc 1911A1

One of the new Norc 1911A1's [from Can-Am]....

Changed out the grips & installed a standard slide stop. Other than that it's just as received:

With last year's Norinco 1911A1 compact:

Better pics when I can get some better light/conditions.....

Thanks everyone. I've been having fun with the new lightbox. Having a Commander in 9mm is a ton of fun.

This is a half & half Colt from 1984. Built for a friend that used it for several years in the long range portion of the Smith & Wesson Masters match in Barry, IL. Magazine fed and manually operated.

Not very pretty, but it shot very well. Current chambering is .223 (1 in 8" Krieger) and it will bore the shooter with the kind of groups attached. The trigger is extremely light.

That's just beautiful...
how much?

Thank you. I hate saying prices but suffice it to say that it was a lot of money but less then $2K. After receiving it, I asked my gunsmith to make it function reliably and butter up the action and give it an ultra light trigger. The slide really does feel like it's on ball bearings. The gun is super accurate, super tight, original and the only true custom gun I have in my arsenal so far.
