Russian SKS45 long thread.

Just today I was notified that we will be getting no fewer then 80 rifles in Unissued original condition shipped Jan 5th. These come from the same batch as the Ell Wood Epps shipment. Any one who had ordered a hand select rifle will get one of these rifles. I will provide more details as they are made available.

Just wondering....
those of us who originally ordered from you way back in Feb/March are in on this?
I had sent you my CC # and intent to purchase two rifles but haven't really kept in touch - have you kept our orders and contact info from then?
Tx

wow !!!!!! 80 unissued , non-refurb . :dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

we need to know what price.

and also for my collection/research , can i specify the production year i need ?.

The non-refurb ones at Epps (that I saw) were all 54's. Given the fact that they are from the same source, it is a reasonable assumption that is what you are getting. (Me too, since I have an order with marlin waitting!)

We have all the orders unless canceled. We will be emailing or calling everyone who had placed an order to confirm all the info is still the same and to verify the numbers of rifles you still want. To make things easier I would ask anyone who has a order in to email me and provide your full name and confirm you are still in.

not true cos member has already posted getting non-refurb 53, 54 and 55 so im pretty positive there will also be 50 , 51 and 52s .

Well gents, Christmas came early. Just picked up my three Tula carbines, a 1953, 1954, and 1955 in unissued condition and as new. They are absolutely beautiful.

--- e-mail sent, Thanks Marlin !!!! ---:)

Talked to Leo in Savage Harbour today, and he never got in his shipment yet.
But he does still hope to sell them at $199 when he does receive them.

Done! Email sent!!!

WHOO HOO, unissued Russian SKS, HERE I COME!!! Soo glad I pre-ordered and patience is definitely going to pay off with the unissued rifle!!!

Cheers

Sweet. Confirmation e-mail sent.

Too funny since I was e-mailing Frontier on the 23rd and at that time, all they could promise me was a shooter grade! I was on the list for a hand-select since week 1 last year.

Amazing how much can change in just 24 hours...

Well i dont have a pic of the Unissued original condition sks's but i do have a pic of a refurbished that i picked up from epps today. Looks like the stock was replaced. But all metal looks to be matching stamped. It is a beaut, and the bore is as new looking as my cz 858-2. So what do you think of my purchase? This looks like one well manufactured rifle. Cant wait to clean her up and take her out.

very nice . a 1954 izzy sks . izzy is less common than tula .

altho the stock has been refurb , at least they replaced it by the same solid birch .

the bore is chrome so it should look better than your non chrome CZ .

Ya that does make sense. Looks like it was hardly fired at all. Here's a pic of the stock markings. Looks like it was from Tula. It is stamped with the same #'s as the rest of the rifle but it has some ###XX's and a tula stamp.
