Fry, it is solid enough, with foam blocks on the projecting parts and wrapped around 3-4 times it is more solid than some boxes I have seen.
Mine came roughly halfway across the country; SK to QC, and not a scratch on it.
Look below in the dealers listings, before the EE. It was posted last night.
I just bought 3 more, from EPPS. That new shipment they just got...well I managed to grab the last ones. f**king unbelievable how fast they are selling
are they neat? what was the price? pics?
Im picking them up on Saturday, I didnt explain myself earlier because I was excited, the 3rd is a refurb BUT
My salesman I deal with said the refurbs were just as nice and cond as the un-issued. I called just in time and almost missed it![]()
Those didn't take long to sell. How many did they get in? How much were the refurbs?
When I said I wasn't happy with the Bell one I should have said that I like the look of the IZH one's better thats all. Besides the paint...which 1/4 flaked off the first time shooting...I'm more than happy with it. The unissued IZH I got from Epps won't be fired, just a safe queen. The bell will be the Russia shooter. Now what to do with the fleet of Norinco's.
Btw, how do you tell the difference between a refurb and an unissued? I'm sure it is in here some where but there are 3600+ posts now.
Not sure if I like the looks of Frontier's packaging... is it only that corrugated paper? I think it should be newspaper/bubble wrap and cardboard at the very minimum. Make no wonder people are getting fresh dings.
This fourm has gone from an exciting "SKS second coming", to "my rifle isnt nice enough!!" fourm. Do you guys know how silly you sound? I have to echo some of the other people on here, REMEMBER IT IS A 60 YEAR OLD COMMUNIST ARMY RIFLE THAT HAS PROBALLY BOUNCED AROUND IN TRAIN CARS AND STORED IN A UNHEATED BUNKER, SELLING FOR HALF OF WHAT THEY SOLD FOR 1 YEAR AGO!!!.
Be happy that Bell brought these in instead of pretenting that your rifle is not as nice as the next persons who will only give a screen name. What you should be asking is why were these rifles so over priced before these came in. Most of you would give your left nut for Norinco POS prior to this, so dont act all high and mighty thinking you should have the best gun in the world. In 6 months we will look back and say "Im sure glad i picked one up when I did" . With all the wars in the last 50 years in Africa, how many of these guns do you think are left?
