I recently bought a new Remington CDL Model Seven in .223. I haven't bought a new rifle in yrs, prefering used from the EE, but am glad I did but this one as I like this rifle ALOT! Decent wood, nice checkering and overall a nice looking rifle. Remington did a nice job with these CDLs, both in the 700s and Model Sevens
This rifle [20" bbl] as shown with VXII 2x7LR and Talleys weighs 6.75lbs and handles very well.
It struck me that this rifle/scope set up in 7/08 or .308 would pretty much be THE perfect eastern style hunting rifle. One of these in a 358Win would a sweet little rifle as well, esp with the Factory Limbsaver pad. It's nice to see some of the factorys finally installing good pads instead of the hard plastic in the past.
