Is there a need for more Cdn made AR parts?

Very nice! It's good to see that we are becoming more and more self sufficient and relying less on the US for stuff like this. ;) The receivers look great, going to have to sell something and get one!

First ive seen of this, im not exactly a frequent poster, but an AR made in Canada is just simply amazing, ive read most of the thread and can see that ATR has certainly done something truly special.

GREAT JOB !

Rick, they look great - and I really like seeing the progression pics. BTW, what do you do with the chips - do they get melted down and reused again?

A metal recycling company most likely picks them up and buys them, that's what we do with our Aluminum, Steel & Brass chips.

KevinB, No!!! you cannot import one into the USA. why? ummmm cuz, you already have enough toys damnit!!!!!
Rick, take a look at Firebird Custom firearms. they have some neat ideas about lowers too.

Rick, can you tell me more about the coating system you will use. Will it be a form of anodizing? Could you do other coatings as well? (Nickle Plating :) )

Milspec hard anodizing is what we are doing.
I am not aware of any nickle plating being done on aluminum.
I can not see too many guys wanting shiny silver
