Norinco M4

It is supposed to come up during the firearms purchase part. A beautiful document (I wrote it myself) outlining the general transfer to be expected for transfer completions of pistols and (the Quebec CFO Dreaded) 'semi-automatic carbines'. I'll check the site out and see if it it's coming up, and if can be posted elsewhere.

Basically, you're in for 2-5 months to transfer an AR. :(

Just out of curiousity has this been going on for awhile? I just sold (last week) a pistol to someone Quebec and it was transferred in 3 days...Ontario to Quebec.

Looks like there are in and at $900 plus taxes and shipping it's a great deal!

The quality looks REALLY rough and cheap, but in true Norinco fashion, there are some great features. The ambi safety would cost $30 and the ambi mag release would cost $100 to buy separately. Removable carry handle is another $30 if you are lucky to find a cheap one. Two mags are included. Marstar charges $34.95 for a 5/30 round mag.

Notice the note at the bottom. Is that a dig against another famous BC importer of Norinco firearms???

I noticed that little quote at the bottom myself. Sounds like a dig to me.

Price seems to be everything these days. Frankly I don't see the value in a Norinco that others seem too. This company is held to no one, no regulation in terms of fit, finish or general quality or selection of metallurgical components. Their QC line seems to be like, "...uh huh, yeah, uh huh, ok, that's ok, sure, why not or ooops, my bad." (LMAO). The fact is, you do not know what you are buying and for $900? If you can't "really" expect true reliability from it, I don't think it is a good choice, on or off the range, less so for a starter if anything went wrong with one. I bought an RRA from Mark at Questar. This is a firearm I know I will own for a very long time, 1" MOA out of the box, tight fit, superb finish, quality parts from a recognized AR manufacturer. If you can't afford one, try a layaway plan. These days it seems we have to wait for most everything anyway, you might as well wait for a quality AR.

They cannot be of any worse reliability than Armalites or Bushmasters, and for 60-70% the cost of north american made product, I can do alot of tinkering. I have a feeling when Marstar gets theirs in, it will be in the neighbourhood of 50% of domestic cost.

You're dreaming in technicolor. If this feeling is based on any of the speculation above, I asked the people making "bets" if these were based on any actual fact or knowledge, and they both replied, no (well, more than that, but the answer remained the same). Their guesses are baseless.

The rifles are here, one importer got them here, Lever. AEI has them in stock and is selling them for $895.

All the ones we have are much nicer than in the photos Lever posted. I'll have a post up Sunday night back to back with a 'real' M4, and after a range session. The CQ 556 is a cheaper rifle price-wise for sure, but I do think represents good value, and is immediately availability.

So far, I can say the uppers and lowers swap out with the STAG-15. Fit between upper and lower is fresh C7ish (not as snug as the STAG, but surprizingly good). A Magpul CTR stock, commercial spec fit perfectly.

They have ambi-safety, ambi-mag release, tactical sling and two mags. Mag wells are smooth and generous in fit, I am confident in saying that any mag will drop free from them.

We shipped a number of these out today, I think customers will be happy. I look forward to more reading what people who buy them think, and less reading incorrect assumptions from people who aren't buying them anyways.;)

Cheers,
DT
