Lever Arms provided us with a demo model and a bunch of ammo for the Port Coquitlam Sporting Rifle shoot earlier this evening.
We dumped a couple of hundred rounds of ammunition through it in pretty quick succession. I just dumped a heap of ammunition down and told the guys to help themselves. We just had people lined up hosing rounds downrange. It ran flawlessly with Fiocchi, PMC, steel cased Wolf, and whatever other stuff that the guys fed it.
It was stuffed with an assortment of magazine types consisting of the ones it came with, Aluminum USGI, Magpul PMags and LAR 10 round magazines. It didn't drop one of the black Magpul Pmags free initially, but loosened up after a bit of use. One of the LAR mags would not seat all that well on the closed bolt. This is not unusual for those types of magazines though.
Almost everybody who handled it commented on how the finish wasn't as bad as they were expecting it to be. The trigger was good and crisp. Ambidextrous selector was not really appreciated. This is not a hard part to swap off. I need to take a closer look at it, but I suspect that the irritating ambidextrous part of the latch can just be removed by unscrewing it.
