This thread is just waiting to give CanAm a place to announce the release of the T97's, and that they are being shipped.

Please don't get this one locked.

Yeah, let's keep this thread open and free of BS.

As someone who has actually paid in full for a rifle that may/may not get delivered, I'm experiencing a few concerns, I must say.

Oh, I forgot to mention how sad I am that my favorite thread on cgn got locked.

I also ordered a bunch of 10 round lar mags!! Gophers will die!!!

Can canam or there legal council come forward and tell everyone what the problem is ?
What's the big secret ? Tell us straight up why we have to wait .There is a problem or else i would have it in my hand. I want to know and be informed .I do'nt want to know when , i want to know what (what's the problem ) staight up .

You know, at first it was fun - $100 deposit, and the guns will be here at Xmas - great! Then it became January, but we all knew that was going to happen...things always take a bit longer than planned.
Then, near the end of January, my card was charged for the balance - finally, the rifles were almost here! But now, everything seems, well, who really knows? CanAm seems to have no info, as he is overseas. Everyone is frothing at the mouth at potential issues, but honestly, I do wish we hadn't been charged for the full amount so early.
I thought we were charged because the rifles had cleared customs, and within a few weeks, we would get them. Now, my bill has come in and I've paid it, but no rifle. The longer it takes, the worse it seems to feel. If we could at least know what the time line is, I think it would take some of the uneasiness away. I know CanAm probably has no answers, and this isn't a shot at him. Just, this seems to be turning into a clustermixup the longer it plays out...

Here is what is fact:

1) The rifles are in Canada
2) Canada Customs has sent a rifle to the RCMP to be verified.
3) The guy from CanAm is currently in Israel, but is returning shortly, and will likely update us then.

(I have one paid for too!)

Cheer up guys...you could be me...on the hook for TWO rifles/payments.
I did a friend a favor of ordering an extra one for him, and paying for it, expecting no issues.
Time will tell......

Well, my vote is that we will get our T97's, although the waiting and Customs/RCMP induced delay's are maddening! And yes, groundhogs WILL DIE!!! Bwahahahaha!!!

Cheers
Jay
P.S. I ordered on Nov.11th, Rememberance Day, Paid in Full Jan.28th.

You have to look at this from CanAm's side of things. The guns were legal and approved to be imported so he put out a lot of money to bring them in.

The guns landed, and since they were legal and approved, who could have foreseen this BS? So he charged for the rifles so they could be shipped right away.

Yes, it sucks but I wouldn't blame the dealer for any of this. The RCMP are changing the rifles as they go. They are the sole entity to blame for any of this crap.

ditto...

Full payment and no direct update from the seller leave the purchase with a little less excitement than I originally had...truth be told.

Order # 5 back in July.

The timeline part I don't give a s*** about really since theres over 3 feet of snow round here, but the "IF" part, a bit more.

This is turning out to be quite the saga. I'd be even more entertained if $ 900 of my dollars weren't in limbo.

Firearms ownership in Canada is a real rollercoaster ride. Makes you feel like a real badass without actually being one.

Canam why did you send one to the rcmp what was the problem?
Ok you do'nt have them .Then why?
An informed client is a happy client , a happy client always returns.

Just out of curiosity, why was the other thread locked? Did it violate a particular rule?

Again, just curious, not trying to piss on the decision.

So what happens to all the people who have paid in full if CFC reclassifies them as prohib ?
