No, you are in the pistols and revolvers section and the name of the thread is Wow...$99 pistol...Norinco M213. For your information, the SKS is a rifle that is also produced, among others, by Norinco.

There are no stupid questions, but friend, you had about a million replies and pics to get all the info you needed in this very thread and don't forget about the search function as others may point out.

Could someone tell me the inside diameter of the barrel bushing please?

Looks like some people have polished their guns, I am a noob at doing a polish job, what method/products work best to do this?

Polishing compound





Just remember if you polish off the bluing you leave you gun completely unprotected, most polished guns are stainless. Try a cotton wheel and different buffing sticks, my favorite is my green 16,000 grit compound I got from the chrome plant back in the day. Maybe start with a 300+ grit wet sand paper to make it easier.

I'll bite. According to my cheapy camobodian tire caliper the bushing is .538 of an inch long. The bushing has two measurements inside. To the inside where the bushing locks into the frame is .555-.556 and towards the muzzle end of the bushing where the guide rod sits below(small hole in bushing) is .522-.523.

I like surprises...does it rhyme with fuzzle rake or stompensator?

Good for them - it's called good foresight, i.e. smart.

The M213 could have been for sale for $49 and people would have sat on the fence and analyzed them to death. "Is it a good deal?" "I don't have the money right now." "Do them come with five mags?"

In a few weeks people will be trading them even up for Russian SKS's.

Cripes, this thread is never going to die

Must say, I'm pretty happy with mine. For $99 it does the trick. Chewed through Win, Remmie and AE ammo with no problems - no FTE or FTF. Only real issue is chambering the first round. If I don't ride the slide it gets messy.
