HERA GCC SMG kit

Sorry, unless that price includes the GLOCK as well, it's a joke.

Shazam what are you basing that on?
I hope not some Euro site... if so, please also post the cost of a GLOCK in the country of sale.

Price is relative. The Euro is high these days - but then again we cant get good gear from US.

They are pricey, actually close to the price of a BT TP9 carbine (only 5 rounds & $$$$ mags), but if you have a spare G17 and a long 10 round mags already it would be cheaper to operate IMHO. Looks exciting. Maybe we:ll see one in Canada one day!!!

Hera Arms approached us to look after the Canadian market. Herra have teamed up with the German distributor, Helmut Hoffman Gmbh, Pat and I sat down with them all at the IWA Show. Hoffman did not offer us any pricing at the Show, subsequently the pricing we were offered was not great! In fact it would not be possible for us to keep our prices even close to the US MSRP. To be honest we have been so busy that we pushed this on the “Back burner”.

We will contact Hoffman and Herra again and see why kind of price we can come up with, right now it does not look very promising.

Saw a thread where it says the kit is 400Euros = about $620Cdn.

Just saw another thread mention 250Euros.

Update: wow, pricing is all over the place... one place is 470Euros.

Personal import from Europe procedures?

The price I have from Hera-Arms dated 20.03.09, which I think came from Hoffman shows a MSRP of $419.00 US and our cost is 251.05 Euro. That leaves us $46 Canadian dollars to cover the cost of importation and shipping. That makes for a non existent dealer discount and a few pennies for profit which would disappear the first time there was a warranty claim.

Profit is not a dirty word, with no profit we would starve. As I said, this does not look promising right now.

shame .. even with a MSRP that low you could always "adjust" for the Canadian market.

Anyway, its a great fit given that Glocks are abundant and the 10 round mag capacity and better trigger options are far superior to the TP9 and BR99 restricted rifles. Shame H.E.R.A. gear seems very well made.

So it's plastic shell with an embedded rail? How many Glocks does it include for $1500?

Ridiculous, TP-9 all the way.

I can see $200 USD for this as it is just a clamshell cover, at that price I would consider it. I wonder how it fastens to the pistol.

Are you bound by agreement or contract with HERA to sell at MSRP? Given the situation I don't think anyone but the most dedicated whiners would fault you for selling above MSRP here. As you say, you have to make a profit otherwise there is no point being in business.

HAH!

People will complain about a unique product being brought in at any price.

This is a neat idea, but I think that no matter what price someone sells them at, there's going to be someone who will complain about it. Not that that person would have bought one anyhow, but they'll complain.

*sigh*

This is the Canadian firearms community....it's what we do.
