Called Can-am today. No answer. Message said they would be back after 2pm on the 5th, today is the 9th. Anyone else talk to them recently?

I phoned a few days ago and all I was told was that 'they are still being held'... Nothing I didn't already know.

Are any others getting more information out of them?

Hey Guys;

I've still got my order in-line with CanadaAmmo, paid in full... Every 4 to 6 weeks, when the mood strikes me, I call up & ask for an update. I guess it just makes me feel better, but anyhow...

At this point, I don't see how "we" are going to make any progress... (I've written letters to the Prime Minister, Minister of Public Safety and also called my MP Paul "Do Nothing" Dewar, he's NDP... )

If the RCMP stand their ground, ie they "review" the FRT # for CanadaAmmo's Non-Restricted T97 FOREVER... IMHO, "we" are screwed... And, even worse, it's precedent setting in that the RCMP will apply this "tactic" for EVERY new firearm to the market that "they" don't like!

Talk about giving businesses something to "consider" before investing!!! They've effectively told ALL business owners that despite following ALL legal requirements to import a firearm, their shipment CAN & WILL BE SEIZED once it arrives in country, and there is NOTHING that they can do about it!

Just ranting guys, my vacation is coming up & this was to be the rifle that came along...

Relax guys this will very likely work itself out. The RCMP knows it went too far and this order is too large to just fade away. Think long term and remember the Liberals are acting like children right now.

I wrote a nice letter to my MP, just waiting to hear back from him... Offered to buy him coffee - and noted that in no way was it to be considered an inducement... ;-)

I'm still in it - paid in full, waiting for the powers that be to back away from the monster they're creating, and clear them for delivery... Maybe if we found a way to convert them to bolt action CBSA would let them go...
