If you dont own the factory your nothing more then a distributor.

There are a lot insults in your post. Nevertheless, you did figure that out Charles so it deserves a reply: I would be a distributor.

That just verfiys your a moron. why would you show how much you paid for something? Are you alergic to profit. If the market will bear it why would you be ashamed of doubling your margin?

You'd be surprised at how well this open policy works in my business. People do actually appreciate open, honest business. And you'd also be surprised to learn how perfectly destructive it is to my competition so I would add to your comments that what you are saying is exactly the opposite: I am not allergic to profits. I am protecting them. Believe me, when you have such an open policy with your customer, they feel like they are part of the business and its right and true: they are the business and always have been. Other models are built on subtle deception. Mine is not. I've built a very strong business on this model.

"old boys" as in the guys who are take the risks and pay for the tooling and start up costs?????? I think its safe to say you have never gone abroad for manufacturing and been forced to cough up large sums of cash for tooling.

No, I do not manufacture outside of Canada, this is true. I have only had 2 products manufactured in China.

Everyone is making components for the M-14.

Not like mine.

Unless your on main land china im willing to bet your not making parts for norinco.

Good guess Charles, I am not making parts for Norinco.

Chances are your just another po dunk back woods machine shop looking to fill space on your 15 year old 4 axis left by the drop in the automotive markets.

No, no that is not true either. But your post was GREAT!

Until the govt jams up your shipment and your left floating a couple mil.

$400,000, and you've got me thinking I should split up the shipment in smaller batches and bring it in with other goods over a wider time period. Great ideas!

hahahahaha, good call. Its not like customs has a computer system that they can use to flag your company for bringing in an item they held up previously. I doubt very much you are even capable of finding China on a map.

With small batches you can pay your lawyer and customes broker more often. But your all about getting personal with those you interact with.................

Your right, i couldnt imagine opening my books to my customers. Thats like an invite for a financial raping minus the lube. Im sure Donald Trump tells all his customers how much his buildiings cost him to build and adjusts his price accordingly.

You have built a strong business that not one single dealer or importer on this forum has heard of you??????? keep up the good work.

Interesting thread

but who cares  Oh wait I found a little tidbit that got my interest :D

..........................................................

interested in some very nice surplus rifles let me know. Garands, Enfields, Mausers etc.... My employees are currently doing the inventory of three foreign sites....

...........................................................

Regards
John

Oh I might buy another M14, the one I got from Marstar is nice
:D

Glo7, when will we be able to buy some m14s off you? I have money waiting

A great, great question. Let's see if I can penetrate this market first. John says anyone can order from Norinco Equipment Ltd. so that is very, very encouraging and leaves an open order on the table.

Of all the forums I have ever been active on, CGN is the only one that routinely has members flaming the sponsors.

How a sponsor run their business is their buisness, their pricing policies often reflects their operating cost, the cost of business varies greatly dependsing on what part of their country they are from, whether they actually have a phyiscal store or just a mail order business with a storage space some where.

When dealing with foreign manufactures, familarity and volume plays a huge part in negotiating pricing, When dealing with Norinco if you speak the language and willing to committed to large unit count, the price will drop dramatically.

hey, maybe if you ask nicely enough Johnone will let you piggyback your order on his and cover your shipping........................ unless you can pony up for 5000 rifles norinco will laugh at you........... as we all are.

So this latest shipment that Frontier is a part of was 5000 rifles???? Why did Frontier only get 35? Are Canadian Tire, Accuracy and Moving Target splitting the other 4965 rifles between them.

Where did you come up with the 5000 rifle minimum order figure?

Everybody is calling :bsFlag: on Glo7's figures, so why should we believe your figures?

Im sure Donald Trump tells all his customers how much his buildiings cost him to build and adjusts his price accordingly.

This Jackass started by complaining that the price was to high, a few days later he is ready to become the new Norinco Importer for Canada, by tommorrow he will be bigger then Donald Trump!

I just came up with the idea that I will become the next box store for guns. I read thru a Wholesale Sports bood and decided that all i have to do is sell cheeper and Im set. Anyone can buy from any of the big brand names. Well im off to the bank with my Wholesale sports and my notes on scrap paper (its such a dumb idea I would not dare use my own money). I am so smart to have come up with this idea, why couldnt anyone else think of this first?

Thats just the number i have heard thrown around. Last i heard norinco had let the m-14 go out of production and 5000 rifles what was what they wanted inorder to justify starting the line back up.

why can't we all just get along .......................
I was under the impression that on importer (bell) imports all the firearms , and then the gun stores in Canada get them from them , am I right ? I am asking this as a question , because I would really like to know how the whole importation of firearms works!
Johnone do you import all your guns yourself or buy them from an importer??
I just dont think it is that easy as calling up Norinco and ordering a bunch of rifles for the regular joe.

Who told you that? Mao Tsetung himself?

Do you know how much it costs to create the tooling for a reciever or a bolt carrier? Im sure your aware that tooling has a limited life in most cases less the 10,000 pieces per cycle. You think they are going to fire the line back up because a couple hundred Canadians want an M-14 for cheaper then last time?

Well, you take care of the financing for the equipment, I'll set up the store front/warehouse. I saw a thread where a guy was building a shop with bales.....why not??:p There, that's all taken care of....I just gotta shave. And get a baler. Let's go talk to the bank. We can become Canada's biggest importer. Bar none.;)

(insert evil laugh here)

Honestly, I would too. Most legal professions/businesses are pretty easy to learn about. Some you can even study in school. Legal firearms importation is legal of course, so why is it impossible to get any information about it? What would be really cool is if somebody like Johnone did a sticky on how a business imports firearms. I think the arguement against it is that such would be a poor business move.

There are lost of stickies on other sites about how to import automobiles, inspite of the fact that some people run a business doing the same. That information is not a secret.

Legal firearms importation has this whole cloak-and-dagger secrecy about it. It leads people to WILD speculation.

I am not a competitor in firearms importation and never will be. I am just a curious person who likes to know how wine is made, how heart transplants are done and how businesses legally import firearms.
