Which hunting rifle do you love to hate?

Benelli semi auto for sure. It just doesn't look right for some reason, doesn't feel right and the one that my friend owned couldn't hit the same area code twice. Plus some of the internals kept screwing up. 4 shipments for warranty and it was finally traded back to the dealer for something else.

1) Only fashion models need to worry about their looks. :D

2) Most often people do not take the time to adjust these rifles to their frame, and yes they are adjustable.

3) How much time did your buddy put into shooting the rifle?
Were the scope mounts tight?

4) Four shipments for warranty sounds a little fishy to me.
What part kept breaking?

Said that ..... I have an orphan A-Bolt 22-250 in the safe that is one of the most cosistant rifles I have ever seen or owned. I can't sell it, no matter how hard I try.

.

Everything is for sale for a price, I bet if I wanted it I could get it out of ya ;) :D

Don't worry though, that would be the last of your rifles I would want and would pass on it even if you were giving it to me :puke:

:D

Oh, so you think I'm easy now or what? ;)

It's actually a very good shotter and it's saving quality, otherwise it would be SOOOO gone!

I like the multivalent .30-06. Does it all.....
Didn't like my first .30-06 rifle though. It was a POS Midland. And POS was it's name-o.

Winchester 94, I have never seen anyone actually hit something further than 50 yards with one.

M37-1.jpg

260 yards Cold Lake area, 22 November 2005, about 9:15 AM.
Single shot from 30-30 Winchester M94 carbine, using Winchester Silvertip 150 grain round nose.
Deer, fell dead right there.
If you don't believe me, I don't care. Those who know me, know better.

I agree that the .30-30 is still one of the best woods cartridges out there; it's taken every game animal in North America at one point or another, but now for some reason you have to have a Magnum just to shoot a Whitetail.
Back to the original post, My least favorite hunting rifle has to be the Browning Lever action. I just don't like the look of the thing. Normally I love levers, but the Browning definitely is the ugliest one out there by a wide margin.

Erik.

Sure agree on the Browning.
But I guess you haven't heard, the game is all so tough now. Anything less than an ubber magnum just bounces right off them.
Also, they're so dangerous now! A hit with an ordinary rifle will just put them into the right rage to tear you apart.

I take it you are refering to the Model 81 BLR Erik?
I ask, because the other Browning lever gun is the B-92.
