NEW Ruger 22!

I'm rather disappointed that Ruger just copied or licenced the nordic kit. Kudos for breaking out of the wood-stocked hunting-only mode of thinking that Ruger has clung onto in the age of tacticool, though.

IF they are allowed into Canada, they are probably going the retail in the $650 to $700 CAD price range for openers.
Who's going to pay that for a .22?

I would say quite a few people would buy in at that price range. I spent far more on my Krinker. It does look remarkably similar to a Nordic - that's for sure.

There just starting to realize the millions they've lost on aftermarket/tactical sales while everyone else and there brother has rode the 10/22 coat tail in this area for years now.

I don't...
Why is it that not every 1 out of 5 10/22 owners has a Krinker kit?? (but wishes they did)
Answer = Because they were too expensive for the average Joe and still are.
Sure, they might sell a few at that price, but they won't be flying of the shelves like Ruger hopes.

You can't sell a completely tricked out 10/22 now for that money in EE let alone a bone stock off shoot nordic clone.
I say they bomb...

:D how much for a for a .22 :p:ar15:

You have to put an Aimpoint M3 in a American Defense mount to that build
Have an idea of the cost ?

So at 600-700$ for that little Ruger plinker, I will buy one for sure ;)

It's a cool toy. I'd be tempted. There is a hole in my heart where my old stainless Ruger 10/22 used to be. I'm tempted to fill that hole.

With regard to the cost, 600-700 is very reasonable:

Nordic normally sells around 300$. The Ruger itself is 250$. Add a forearm, another 100$ (minimum). Add a stock, 80$.

You're at 730$ already.

My nordic cost me quite a bit: 250 for the rifle, 300 for the nordic, 325 US for the tacsol barrel, 80 for the stock, 100 for the forearm. A little of 1000$ total. But it was definitely worth it.

On the other hand, you could also just have bought one of fabrice's fs556, which are very nice (pics of that will come when I have it assembled.

How much time before we get the SR22 here ?? not like the colt M4 (.22) I hope ...

is the remington 597 VTR already in canada ?

thanks for more info

Dumb question , but is the SR-22 all-metal around the trigger unit :), or does it have plastic-bits? ;)

I would spend that much on a 22. I have sunk over 1200 into mine already and i havent even bought the 10/22 its self. (wating on rpal still) I got the fs556 from fabsports with the houge grip and tapco stock and yhm dimond spector for 600 shipped. I have a fluted 16" bull barrel on order from gm for 180, and i also am waiting on my volquartsen tg2000 trigger group which is around 250. A cheap scope for 100 bucks and then a base model 10/22 when it comes for 280 brings the grand total to around 1300 bucks. Plus some hotlips i suppose and ammo we are hitting the 1500 mark. BUT its one sweet looking 22
