I think lot of frustration would go away if you had kept the competitors informed about the progress. It is hard to wait patiently while staying in the dark room.
Frankly as the person responsible for scoring the match I'm a little disappointed in some of the rhetoric in this thread. Anyone that expects results within 48 hours over a holiday weekend is being both unreasonable and unrealistic. In this case I was out of town for the weekend, but immediately started scoring the match on my return. After running a first draft from the data I decided to run the upgrade the program requested everytime it opened (dumb move on my part I admit). Once you run the upgrade a registration key is required to access the program ( a fact not mentioned before the upgrade). The folks at Win MSS tech support were great getting a key to me by noon on Friday. I circulated the draft to screen for errors and the final copy was submitted last night.
For every match we've scored we have either scored the match concurrently while it was taking place, screened the results and sent them off the next day: or we have scored the day after and submitted the results the following day. Sometimes unforseen things happen, in which case a little patience goes a long way.
