marstar 70,000/10,000 SKS, eta aug 20th, price $189 new military.

You know what the worst part is? You're on this forum stirring the pot instead of cleaning your room or doing your homework.

I may have to purchase a crate of sks's if they are around $100 a pop... That would be worth putting off my other planned purchases.

Where ever their from, some nation or nations must need the money pretty badly, not to destroy them. After all just think of the photo ops and good will at the UN.

I have no idea what the rifles are worth as surplussed from a legal government. The cost of shipping and refurbishing will run in the millions alone.

Hopefully we will see some of the "new, unissued" specimens here in Canada. I'm willing to bet they will carry a more substantial price tag.

Watched a few documentaries on Liberia...They had lots of Yugo/Polish/EG/Romanian AK's..but not alot of SKS carbines,at least from what I saw being used in the streets....maybe they were stored and held in reserve...or they are from somewhere else....

I want to know how many of those 70k guns will actually make it into Canada as opposed to the States. John has already said he dumps a lot of goods there just because of how much easier and faster it is.

70,000 SKS to hit our shores .

WOW!!!! i better start saving up.

Yeah, so now my $200 Russkies will be worth half:( They are actually worth less now that Leverarms is blowing out Rifle/Ammo combos.
Law of Supply and Demand will always prevail.

The Chinese and Russian SKS rifles won't be going to the USA, illegal to import them there, but they could go to some European countries.

"Do I have to be the one to call John on this lie? 70 000 rifles? Give me a break, with aprox 1500 rifles per container, you are looking at the better part of a full train of guns. I understand that you have a dozen or two staff which would be 1700-3000 guns per employee to register pack and ship."

Lets go over a few facts here
1) Yes I invite you to call me on this one, do you think we are amateurs in this business ?

2) Get your figures straight, a 40ft container will hold 2000 SKS rifles when well crated....
When is the last time you imported any ?? For that matter when is the last time you imported any firearms ?? When is the last time you dealt on an international level ?

3) Why would staff be registering them in a foreign land ?? Did I miss something ?

I detect a strong case of wannabee....

May I suggest you read all the posts before offering your ill-informed and un-substantiated claims as facts.... ? Should your somewhat limited intellect not allow for such a brain stressing procedure I am certain that your mommy will read them for you

NAVY SHOOTER;
Well now, I guess I am getting mellow in my old age....

As much as I will go to almost any length to answer or assist someone in this fine hobby we all enjoy, why should I get upset with a poor frustrated individual....

I have been in this game a long, long time, been to many "interesting" places, seen a lot of historical events, and best of all have lived to tell about it....

I don't feel I have to prove myself to anyone at the shallow end of the gene pool.

Regards my friend

RIGKING,

In the words of my 12 year old "You just got pwned"

Now let's assemble the ban tribunal...

Using childish ###ual references to get your point across extremely lame!

Does John let you spit or swallow? My guess is that in honor of the defence some of you put up for him, he lets you spit. I never know so many people would whore themselves out for a good price.

Ah what an epic thread in the making. I always like John's style of getting his point across.

That said, John, still no word on where they're from? We're a curious bunch. Not sure what knowing this will change in our lives (nothing probably) but.. but... argh, where?!?!?

Other questions no doubt will get debated. Such as, "Why would I need two, three, four more SKS". But really we all know the answer to that one. Just like answering "Why did that guy climb that mountain"

Curious cusses we may be, but I'll patiently await the arrival of the containers and sniff the boxes to see if I can detect the source nation.....the 1A1 FN I've got from India gave of some funny scents from the stock when I was sanding it years ago...

LOUTHEPOU;
Experience has taught us a long time ago not to discuss origins, purchase details, transport, shipping, etc, etc until AFTER tyhe material is well clear of the area of origin and safely on its way....

Seriously, this is a VERY sensitive area....

NOT TO WORRY, full disclosure at a later date....

This has me extremely curious, I wonder what kind of condition they will be in? Also forgive my ignorance but will the pending UN marking law affect these?

I was very close to jumping on the lever arms crate lot but now I will wait.

1) New in the Crate units
2) 70,000 war surplus, dropped once, maybe twice :)

If it is a Pending Law... How would it effect anything?
I believe Johnone has the experience required to handle his business within ALL International Law.
Why would anyone in the Thread start questioning Marstar or his dealings....just wait and enjoy the benefits of all Marstar does for Canadian Shooters.

I think this thread....with all the amusing antidotes.... Can be used as a gauge for interest in purchasing these Rifles.
Many have stated buying crate quantities....if the price is low.

I would buy one 'New' in box :) or 2.
