Just like the 303, 30-06, .308, and .223 did.
Still see a lot of LeeEnfields, M1 Garands, M305 (and all their latest incarnations) and AR's.
Pulled out a blue box of surplus .308 from 15 years ago. Paid $4.95 for 20 rounds. Tend to concentrate on putting 'quality' rounds downrange instead of pumping lead into the berms.
Firearms is an expensive hobby (mind you I never thought I'd be able to buy a Russian SKS for under $200.00).

And this is the thing some other folks are overlooking, once one starts to use ammo like Fiocchi etc they get to see how crappy the CZ surplus really is.

I don't. I recognize it for what it is, a cheap, effective fighting round... well, when you have thirty or forty people using it at once...
But seriously, I can splash down my groups within the stop zone with my SKS and the steel cased surplus ammo at 100m without any trouble. Good Orwell rifle any way you look at it.

Hehe, I'll still take thirty (three arsenal cases full) at the $100.00-$120.00 price, as will many CGN'er's here will probably do as well.
I laugh when I see those Canada Savings Bonds commercials on TV as of late. I don't hear a Loonie dropping; I hear a 7.62X39 steel round dropping instead.

Do the math:
Canada Saving's Bond has an average interest rate of 1.39% if held for three years. If you hold $3500.00 in bonds for ten years, 10 year compounding will net you $518.19 in interest. Whoopee $518.19!
If the average SKS comes in at $110.00 per unit, 30 packed and sealed SKS's will net you $3300.00 in the maturity time of a Canada Saving's Bond. This has already been proven historically here in Canada when SKS's were around the $100.00 rate. Today, a Chinese one goes for $200.00 and Russian ones go for over $240.00 taxes in. Even if you get impatient and sell each SKS for $20.00 more than you paid, you are still ahead of the game. You'll sell 30 SKS's in ten years. In ten years, they will either be back up to or worht over $200.00 a piece.
If you have kids that plan on keeping your shooting tradition alive and want to leave them something they can shoot or sell, these SKS's are a once in a lifetime opportunity IMO. Or, they will be a financial windfall for gun owners instead.

WE ALSO have purchased a substantial quantity of BRAND NEW SKS, they ARE new, not refurbs, not reconditioned, in their original 1950s and 1960s crates....
THE PRICES WILL NOT be the same for both lots

Looking forward to "both." Used SKS rifles of "many" nationalities will allow many of us that are trying to collect up arsenals that we don't usually see (like Korea, Germany, Vietnam, ALBANIA!, etc. etc.) will be a welcome addition to many collections.
SKS's from the 1960's will also be a welcome thing as well as many of the SKS's made in the 1960's were very well made.
We've all seen SKS's from the 1950's and so on, so more of a good thing is GOOD as well.
Thats all fine and dandy right now, but one day not to distant in the future there will be liberal elected as PM, then guess whats most likely to occur, you guessed it, sks's are now either restricted or most likey prohibited and now your stuck with several hundred pounds of useless metal and wood with no takers. Its just a matter of time before those idiots regain control over us once again. Just my opinion.
let me clarify , the russian that are already here and the new marstar SKS shipment (the ones that knock my socks off) are good investment.

Dude, it is our job to keep them out for the next 5 years by then the LGR will be toast and SKS will remain as it is now unrestricted anything else is a defeatist attitude.
