North Eastern Arms VZ/CZ Railed Handguard and Muzzle Brake (with pics!)

The replacement upper guards are now off the machines, plated and will be shipping today. The lowers are due to begin shipping next week.

As a teaser i thought i would mention we are in the early stages of running three new parts for the VZ that have not yet been made by anyone and will be a game changer in allowing the permanent mounting of hand guards while still being able to clean your rifle.................

... How about a Troy-Style Drop-in Chassis? You know you want to. And it'd save me the $$ butchering a SAGE EBR just to prove it'll kick ass. I've already chopped a B&T SAN Quad-rail for my 858.. I'm sick and I'm not going to stop until someone takes over...

And I can't wait for the new replacement rail. I hope I can make it fit with my new front end.

Oh man, is a quad rail in the offing?

NEA are really turning out to be people to watch!

I've never handled an Aimpoint Micro... is the "glass" lower than the fastfire?
So with a Micro... would the irons on the VZ/CZ do a "battle co-witness"?

While I have never handled a fast fire up close and personal, however based on the photo's & my research, I do beleive the Glass is lower in the Aimpoint Micro, and they SHOULD Co-wittness (there's that dam word!!D)

That being said, I have an H-1 waiting, and should be able to give a difiniative answer when my NEA Ver 4 rail arrives next week some time. I also have a Ver. 1 rail on the way just for gigles, so I can see how it has evolved.

Now, if we could get some of those AR stock adaptors Ruach is waiting for, I think that, and a really good set of mag couplers would be a huge step forward in the flexibility of this carbine.

Please follow up... I'm really anxious to hear as this would be my setup if it does work out.

What we really need is a rear cantelever or saddle mount that low, allows fro removal of the dustcover, and need not be removed when cleaning.

Can't be a saddle, unless you have removable bolt handle.

Edit: D'oh, you wouldn't need that as long as the saddle was far enough to the rear or notched out.

The Ver 4 rail will lower co witness with the irons zero'd and true co witness with the irons set at 300yards.

I verified this today with the guys from target sports on one of their vz's.

Yep, I picked up a Bushnell TRS-25 to give it a try. I've spent too much money on ammo lately to get a Micro but one of these days........
