How much interest in a Canadian limited edition Ruger No.1?

#1

Well alright, disregard that notion then.

Beautiful rifle by the way. I'd like to see express sights and English cheeck-piece, but I'm sure that would be to complicated and expensive. Have to do that one after purchase I guess. I'm definetly "in" as long as it's in .303, prefer light or medium sporter, but would gladly take an RSI.

I have no idea the logistics involved but Ill' just throw this out there anyways.

If we are having trouble getting the required amount it may be worth the time to get the word out to forums like NITRO EXPRESS and pray upon a few Aussies. They may take the bait, of course someone would have to deal with all the payment, shipping importing bull ####. I am sure there is a market down there for this type of thing but it would no longer be a "canadian edition"

I always hoped that Remington would step up with a CDL / BDL in .303 British. A Ruger configuration would be way cool - provided that this limited run wasn't cost prohibitive.

I'm in.

Ok, I Dropped a pm to Stormy on 'how to' polls & stickey's & I' ll try to get in touch with Clay today when I wake up to see how it would be best for him to get preferences on model & hop ups. I'm a little shaky on just setting up a poll on preferences, when someone could have input on this rifle & no intention on ordering one... Give me sometime & I'll get back with answer.

Did anyone contact Remington? I'm curious as well. A Ruger single shot in .303 British is very nice, but a new bolt action repeater 700 would be sweet!:D

I have no idea how you would make a Remington feed a rimmed cartridge. From dealing with them on warranty I see it never happening. They are difficult at best.
If more people want the 1A then I would like the circassian walnut option. An RSI would be good with regular.

Dreaming of .303 #1 Ruger.

Just to keep the dream going. Note the good old "Sabre tips" eh. (Rifle pictured is actually my 7X57).
Cheers

While I'm dreaming, how about a butt like this?

OK, talked to the rep again. Looks like a RSI may be more difficult and, although there has been a lot of interest in the RSI, the majority , so far, has been a 1-A or S. I'm not sure why the RSI may be more difficult but my rep is not a technical guy either so he's got to get somebody at Ruger to answer these questions (and things are winding down for the hollidays).
Now, I've got to thinking, maybe this shouldn't be a 'Canadian' edidtion, so to speak, but a 'commonwealth' one? The email from the dealer in Australia made me remember there are a lot more than Canadians that hold the 303 near and dear. :)
Maybe the serial could start C303-0001?
