How much interest in a Canadian limited edition Ruger No.1?

will this rifle come with scope mounts? if so it'd be nice of they would do a 42mm obj MAX, not a 50 like so common with Rugers (too high!)

1.I still prefer the RSI. Maybe a good thing to know why it seems more difficult to get from ruger
2.A poll can be done from the people who said yes with the different configuration possible to decide "the one"

I think TBs comment was about the overly high rings that come on them. Most folks here (myself incl.) would like a lower ring set.

.

I can't remember:
Do the rings that normally come with a regular new Ruger rifle reflect the caliber & style of rifle? ie. If were a heavy barreled varmmit rig in say, 22-250; wouldn't it come with high rings? As a shooter would more than likely put a high magnification, large objective scope on it? And vise versa, a hunter may go with a low powered scope on their 30-06, so only a medium or low set would be required? Or is there no rhyme or reason to the rings that come with it?

well usually M77's come with high rings suitable for a 50mm objective. The only No1 I had didnt come with rings (it was a No1-H tropical) but I put on Leupold lows.

The 77 I have in .257 Roberts came with rings, that much I remember. The No.1 V in 22-250 came with rings as well. As neither one has sights, it would be kind of useless without rings. Now I'm not sure if No.1's with sights come with rings or not.
Hey Clay, whats' the answer? Or anyone else...

Should come with rings. only spec edition that i've ever seen that didn't was the 50th anniversary 45/70. It might be something we can request anyway. Ultimately, nothing is free and I'm sure they'll provide rings, like they do with all other #1's and add it o our cost(don't get me wrong, its a good deal)

Where were we on price? Sorry, didn't want to wade through all the posts. I'd be interested if the price was reasonable...and I'd like SN 291 if they went that high!

John Y....
I had thought of the Epps as well, but there is enough "options" being floated.
I certainly didn't want to muddy waters any more for Clay. He's really gone to bat for us on this.
I don't think buying TWO and reaming one out to an Epps would be a bad thing?!! ;)

Just a thought.....later!
