Best/Most effective AR compensator

Here is my PWS comp I installed tonight on my MRP barrel. Will try it out early next week.

Looks good!!

I want something for my Stag SBR upper, and a 14.5" I have....

I think I'll be getting the PWS and/or Surefire to try. :)

yeah the project got held up because customs stole my first set of barrel blocks, then I had to get some roll pins when the second shipment of barrel blocks came in. The factory A2 hider was held on with alot of torque. Get the upgraded crush washer and not the cheapo peel washers that come with it.

You can make a very effective comp - however it will be generally very unpleasant to shoot beside, it also may be a huge flash generator.

We have some similar designs to the SPEX brake, so I am sure it will work well ;)

Right now USSOCOM and Big Army are doing a Family of Muzzle Brakes and Suppressors, so very few of industries newest designs will be public.

Our Triple Tap was from 2003.

The other problem commercially is a good FH and Brake Combo tends to be considered a Can by ATF due to the Db drop.

It all comes down to what you want/need to do, and what your willing to spend.

Honestly we have been surprised by the commercial demand for these. Some mil-monkey who thinks he can shoot and Jerry Barnhart running these has created a great deal of interest, Mil-dude with the civilian segment, and a different segment from Jerry and his audience these days.

You got the Burner running one of these? That's some solid advertising.

Heres the newer one I put on. Its a PWS CQB, it makes the 10.5 barrel almost quiet. Recoil is less as well. This is far better than the other PWS I posted, the other one was to loud on the shorty. Way to loud.

Very cool lookin set up USP! I like the look of the full length rails with a large break on the end. Im curious though, the CQB looks quite heavy. Are they as solid as they look, or are they hollowed out and lighter than they look.

do you find it noticeable on the front end?

I think that the triple tap would look awesome on a tavor. Id love to see that!

The front is already heavy on the MRP. The brake is a 2 piece design, it screws together with a sort of ratchet mechanism. Makes cleaning it out easy. I would have to measure it, but I think its maybe 2.5 long. I have a UBR on the rear so it balances the gun out well.

The CQB itself is not noticeably heavy. Its a sizeable improvement over others I have tried for a shorty. The CQB seems to channel all the noise directly forward as well.

The PWS CQB was originally designed for the PWS 7" Diablo at the request of some of their LE clients who were doing entry warrants and finding that the side blast and noise from the short barrel AR's was causing issues when working as multi person entry teams in tight areas (room clearance, etc.). The guy right next to you was getting a face/ear full of blast and sound. The CQB was designed to direct most of the sound and muzzle blast forward, so you could comfortable stand beside the gun without problem. They perform very well.

Anybody play with clocking the comp? Interested in keeping the rifle flat - no consideration to the dudes beside me.
