Lets see some pics of your Tacticool VZ 58/858s

Just don't get it on the barrel or the moving parts. Another thing to keep in mind is that the bed liner will begin to degrade at a much lower temperature then paint. During the SMC Basic Carbine course last summer one VZ with a factory handguard that was painted with bed liner left melted bed liner on my pants after some rigorous drills. The grip was fantastic though. :D

yikes...

I just coated my rifle in the stuff last week, I guess i'll bring a rag the next time i got plinking... looks fantastic btw, I love the texture.

I think im just going to go with the krylon on the butt stock, just got to wait for my surgery to heal up and ill be jumping on the project, ill let you know how that turns out

I wonder if there ss there another product that would leave it with a stronger more durable finish.

There's lots of options...

Parkerizing,
Gun Kote,
CeraCoat,
DuraCoat,
DiamondCoat..

There's others. There's a wide range of choices from airbrush application to spray bomb type, bake on or air dry. There's also a lot of choice in colors.

Here are the details: rear sight leaf TIG welded to the front of a 3/8" square
steel bar. Deflector TIG welded at about 50 degrees a little bit to the left of the bolt carrier crest since some of the spent casings like to fly straight up.
Adjustable screw at the rear bottom of the bar sits on the receiver cover and does two things : levels the bar and keeps the receiver cover nice and tight.
Installation and removal takes less than 15 seconds.

Charles, that's a smart set-up. I'm really digging the BUIS.

Do you produce the picatinny stock adapter (at least that's what I think it is) and is it adaptable with folding stocks or the collapsible AR stock?

That adapter will accept a collapsible AR stock. There is railed folder in the works.

Do you have to take your scope off the mount to remove the mount though?

I think if you get a cheek riser or inline stock adaptor to get comfortable behind it, it'd be a pretty slick rig.

I have a couple saddle mounts that'll work for the rear of the mount if you want one. They're steel and you can TIG it in place. Everything is packed up for our move but they're around somewhere. Or I can send you some dimentions for you to make up one..

Good job..

Thank you for offering your help. PM on the way !!!!!
And NO , I do not have to remove the scope to take the mount off.
All you do is remove the machine screw that secures it in the rear end and then I use an L shaped tool with pin to go under the front of the scope to press on the rear sight leaf spring to remove the front of the mount.
