Wookie 316,

That sure is a nice looking Sako! Do you know what year it was made?
Are you planning to install a match barrel at some point?

Not sure what the future holds for it. I'm new to a 6mm-284, so I'll have to play & see what happens.

Don't know the year, it is a Bofors barrel though. Maybe you should buy it off me ;)

Very nice Ian. Who made the stock for you?

I bought it third-hand. It needed some extensive TLC, having been inletted for an old Sako action. Much of the credit for its resurrection must go to Mitch Kendall.

Although more "benchrest" in design, It is one of the best prone stocks I've ever used.

6mm BR Norma

Pic of two of my rifles. A 6 PPC in the green stock and the XR 100 is the 6BR.
The XR 100 got sold to a guy in New Brunswick and as I've been informed recently it now lives in B.C. to a newer shooter Obtunded knows. He'll love it, it shoots fantastic.
The 6 PPC has since been turned into a 6 BR and actually shoots better than the XR 100 did which I found hard to belive.
The last 5 shot group I shot with it at 100 yards while load testing got me a .160" 5 shot group.
Current BR is
Barnard S action
Barnard rail (17 moa)
N/F Rings and BR 12-42X56
Robertson H and H stock fully done
Previous load for XR was 29.5gr of Re 15 (worked alot better than varget)
Bullets 105 Lapuas
Norma brass (some lapua)
New load 30 gr of Re 17 (experimental but worked)
Maclennan Barrels on all my rifles, 31" 1-8 tw.

Yup, Your old XR100 is in BC.
Shooting most bullets at .300" or better.
Seems to like the 108 Bergers, best .190" but still doing load development.
And I need more practice!!!
