Just ordered my Tavor today the waiting game begins

There will be no running around with guns on Sunday afternoon! All Canadians will report to their TV screens at noon pacific standard time! ;)

Unless the tv is showing 100 naked supermodels dyking out while showing off tavors, I will be out playing with my gun on Sunday

Talk it up, while here in the Bananas' People Republic of southern Mcsquintystan I look into the night sky and listen for the sound of the canada post C130 to land with all the important mail with an expected delivery date of 03 March,,,.

Is that when the Olympic Ice Fishing begins?
Oh my! He's going for another beer, that means more points on technical.

Hey Mr. Smitty, post if you get yours today, I think mine is on the same truck as yours...and I just left for Edmonton.

I will. Pics of my gen 1 and gen 2 will posted tonight as well if it shows up.

You fort mac boys
might get lucky if the truck left early from Edmonton. My package arrived in edmonton at 7:41 pm last night and was delivered by 10:00 am, so harass the fort mac post office!

Ya I hope it was on the truck on its way to Fort McMurray early this morning or late last night. The post office is open till 9pm where I am at so I wait and pray.

UPDATE

Its at the post office in fort mac. Just checked the tracking number WHHHHHEEEEOOOOOO. I am going there shortly to pic it up.

Well, when you put it that way...

OK, I'd change the channel between periods if there were 100 supermodels dyking out while playing with tavors. But, since I don't see that happening...

Come Sunday, I'll be watching the hockey game and after our crew re-educates the U.S. team as to which country owns hockey, I'll be joining the party out on the streets. :)

Given my predicted hangover, I probably won't get around to shooting my Tavor until the following weekend...

I guess dropping it off early is the least the guy could do, considering he checked off the no one home, but didn't actually bother to knock or ring the doorbell.

The rail is fairly low. The sight is slightly higher than the regular one since it has the quick release feature. On a side note, the quick release is nicer than the Arms ones on my Eotech 553.

Also this sight looks great and seems to be perfect for the Beretta Storm. I was hoping this would work out. I'll have to see how it is at the range, but so far it looks great, and seems perfect for this particular firearm (Yes I know it washes out in bright light).

Again sorry for the crappy pictures guys. I should really buy a camera one of these days.

Storm with M21 reflex sight (Quick release version).

Size comparisons between Tavor and other black rifles (Stag AR-15 and Swiss Arms have their stocks collapsed/folded, also the Storm has a longer non restricted barrel on it compared to the normal).

Could you mount your Eotech 553 on your Tavor, and let us know if the gen 2's cowitness with the 7mm riser mount of the 553?
That'd be great.

Just picked it up. Camera is dead so battery is charging. Quick thing I noticed compared to my Gen 1 is that there is no rear BUIS. Second thing is without looking at the bolt carrier of my gen one it seems to be a little different. Third the rail is lower than the 999 rail. Lastly there is no serial number sticker on top of the butt stock like gen 1 but there is a little green dot. The packaging was strangely labeled 30th of March of 08??? was their labeler smoking something or something else going on here ;). I will be back in a few hours with pics for a side by side with my gen 1 tavor with Elcan spectre dr on top with the 999 rail.

I threw an eotech on one of em. Not a fan of the mepro, washes out in light, but might throw it on the shotty.

Theres' an 18.5" M14 and an xcr for comparison.

####, the old lady is home, i gotta run and hide the receipt!

Tavor

Mine's at the post office waiting for me....but I won't be back until Sunday. That's alright. The little ladies at the postal outlet will give it to me when I show....I think they're sweet on me. Lol.

I guess this is directed at Canam...will there be any leftovers? I showed the wife the pics of these rifles and she hinted I might be "allowed" to spring for one. I've got a T97 order with ya (didn't get charged though)...but would look into changing to a Tavor...(got to get on that bandwagon somehow...)...

You can always check the E&E soon..Tavors, as nice as they look & feel were not ment for everybody, especially the hardened AR guys.

you guy diconnecting that extra pring in the trigger mech? if o, are you taking it out, or just disconnecting it

Many people have, as it lightens overall trigger pull. Sadly, not much can be done with the connector.
IIRC, somone mentioned that it could make the gun unsafe if dropped. Personally, I doubt it, as it's just a spring.
Perhaps Canam could comment on this? I don't have my amourers manuel anymore.

Anyone notice when you ride the charging handle, it sometimes doesn't ####? I was just dry firing it, and riding thecharging handle so I don't wake my son up, and it wouldn't #### sometimes. When I use the bolt release, or let the charging handle fly on it's own it cocks every time.

Maybe i just have to break it in, she's a little tight right now.

Dear God the agony! I got home just a little late to make it to the post office before it closed - and sure enough, there is my package slip. Now I have to wait until Monday!
