10/22 Custom Receivers

To complete the receiver blank you'd need to:

1) Drill two cross pin holes through 3/16

2) Drill stock hold down screw hole #16 drill and tap #12x24 tpi

3) Drill two #16 holes for V-block and tap with #12x24 tpi.

4) Drill (counter bore) two 1/4 holes v-block .700 inch deep.

5) Drill/bore the barrel hole to 11/16

6) Drill 1/16 deep the bolt return spring rod seat with 1/8 drill

one will also have to drill a hole for the nub on the front of the mag

No kidding, every couple months it gets talked about, as well as my request for a REAL Stainless Steel receiver. And not that "stainless" paint that flakes off.
Love the rifle, the handling, the various configurations, all the aftermarket gear... But the receivers are really a piece of shat. Even after I spent a day stripping the paint off and polishing it to mirror finish. You just get to see how soft the aluminum really is.

My first 10/22 had an aluminum receiver without any crap paint on it. My new one is covered with that sh$t, I wonder who decided to change it and to put it worst? You said you remove that crap and it's really nice under? it can be made to look like my old one? do you have pics?

Anyone else have problems with their receiver mounting hole not lining up with the drilled hole on their stock? I have tried 2 boyds and a factory stock and the stock mounting bolt is not lined up with the hole on the receiver on any of them. The only way I can start the bolt is with the receiver pulled part way out of the stock and the bolt going in on a bit of an angle. Then it binds really hard on the escutcheon in the stock and can only be tightened with a lot of force.

If anyone's made a Dlask order since last Friday or over the weekend I suggest you confirm... about 4 orders.

I ordered a receiver on Friday and my account was gone Monday night. I called Dlask and they don't even have a record of my Friday order even though I received confirmation emails post order.

PS. A week's wait for the next batch of 10/22 receivers.

any word on any changes to the manufacture process on the second batch of 10/22's with Dlask?

PS: I got my reciever & barrel from Dlask today after a long wait from the Registery. w:h: :dancingbanana:
My son is getting a custom 10/22 done up in a FDE dura coat finish on these Dlask parts even doing the scope FDE. now I have to deside if it's a Boyd's tactical stock or a Hogue OM stock

Sorry, I didn't ask about any design changes. I was just pissed that my order was missing... not too keen about possible loss of information and identity theft.

Is Dlask doing the Duracoat for you?

I have a Boyd's tactical on order... just because they are limited production. I can after all change my mind later. ;)

I love the looks of the Hogue OM but don't like the idea of the forearm flex if I'm going to use a bipod.

There are no changes between first and second batch.
Design stays the same, manufacturing process stays the same.

The flat tops will be coming at the beginning of next week.
They have a little taper at the back - you can go ahead and
blame Brocolt for that.

However, the top is still thick for strength purposes,
so the back, even if tapered, does not blend in with the stock,
as there was no intention to do that.
The tapering is there to accomodate fatter and/or lower scopes.

WHOOOOOOA!!!! There CowBoy!!!! what do you mean by flat tops? No rail? PICS?? WHAT?????? Me Gatta know

No I have a guy in my area that does Duracoat & KG gun coat. I was going to get all my varmint rimfire guns done in OD & FDE

I said that in post 74.
I do not have pictures now, but I will post when I have.

Be careful where you put duracoat
or anything that increases the thickness,
the fit is already tight as it is.

hello GunNutterz! Today I got my Dlask receiver from the post. I sitted it in my Fajen Legacy stock and put my factory Ruger Target barrel on it, looks very nice to me! Tomorrow I'm going to the range to try it out....can't wait...
