The 760/7600 Club

Had a 30-06 in a760,,,luved it but I must be a pussy cuz man did that thing kick,,,,almost knocked me over to the passenger seat,,,,Alberta boy here lol

I guess I have the 7600 bug real bad because a month ago I bought another factory 35Whelen carbine. It's my second one - but this time with composite stocks.
I know 5 people that have 7400's and they all hate them
I had one in 35Whelen I liked - no issues. A hunting buddy had one in 35Whelen too which he liked also. I now own and hunt with the newer M750 flavour in 35Whelen which I also like and so far has funtioned perfectly.

Hey, I'm a new club member. After trying to hump around a M305 last year, I'm taking hint from what some of the other guys were carrying. I just purchased a 7600 in .308 and I have a beater 760 in 30-06 on the way. Barrel chop and duracoat sounds like a plan.

Update: Decided to switch the barrel on the 760 with a carbine length one found in the E.E. Buttstock was from Numrich. Rodger at RK Custom fitted and reblued it for me. He said that he had to machine the barrel, as it was a little "different" than the original.

Shoots like a lazer beam :) My friend took two caribou with it in December.

I bet they are all
JAMMOMATICS:p
I know one was for sure. Last fall one of my buddies was using a 7400 in .308... he shot a nice 10 pointer and knocked it down... when he got down out of his tree the deer was standing there looking at him. He put his gun up to fire again, and no-go... jammed up solid... deer walked away and they never found it.

OK, no more talking about semi's in my thread...:p:D

Back in Saskatchewan we used to keep one of those handy in the goose blind for when the 870's jammed.
Good long range guns....R:d:

Over filled the 4 shot mag with 5 rounds?

Sorry for not seeing this question before (on page 12). Been a little side tracked lately....

Actually I didn't have it stuffed full at all, just one round in the mag. It would cycle in fine but she just would not go boom.

I think we need to see some more field photos boys.
Packed the 25 more often than anything else this past fall.
