It is now about a week since announced change of plans in regards to the Ontario Provincials. It was expected to hear some kind of official followup on that but I don't see anything at the Ontario web site. Though the match page says that "The 2009 IPSC Ontario Provincial Championship Match Registration Package is now available on the Match Calendar page.", yet I can't find it anywhere.

So, are we going to hear anything from the BoD in regards to this issue?

Eugene,
send an email to SD as I did 4 days ago and maybe it will be answered, mine is still pending.(elections are over, promises too) :)
To be honest, I wish this could be resolved, Barrie gets match back, apologies issued.... blah-blah-blah
Knowing life, contrary is going to happen, we probably gonna have a provincial in different venue, prepared and MD by BOD to prove how able they are
In mean time, shoot alphas :)
I got new target pistol and have problems with getting used to, but I like it.

I hope my predictions are wrong, nothing better then one happy family
Greetings

Quig, is that an official statement? I thought you stepped out from the board? :D

Quigley said ......"It says".. I may not be an English major, but I'm pretty sure "it" refers to the web site...

you don't need to be a board member to quote something from the IPSC web site...

Halleluyah!
ckc123, do you think other people can't read or you just like to state the obvious? :)

I don't know about anyone else.. but you weren't able to.. that's why I had to respond back to you...

you ask a dumb question, you know what type of answer to expect ;)

Just an update, Barrie will have the Provincials.
I have stepped down as the Barrie Rep for IPSC.
If you need more information contact the Ont Bod or the new Barrie Rep who will be elected on April 7 2010.
I am happy for the Barrie Gun Club. They were still able to get things worked out.
Good luck everyone!

Thanks for all your work John. Hope to see you at the matches.

just a little confused...can someone clarify (if that is possible at this time),..the tentative dates for the Ont provincials,....and what type of format there could be..(ie: one day shoot,..two day shoot.etc...)

I am just the shooter and can not speak for BOD but I think the shoot will go at the same venue and the same time, long weekend in July.

The Provincials can't be pulled off in a day. Too many shooters, it will be @ the very least 3 days, with a day put aside for the workers to shoot as has always been the case. At least that has been the case for the past 15 years.

thanks for the info,..but do you mean each shooter shoots the match in 1 of the 3 days,...or is it broken up over a couple days. (ie: our provincials and level 3 matches are 300+rds, and 16-17 stages,..hence 2 days)

John, hats off to you for doing what you deemed necassary, and to put the future and reputation of your club at the forefront but in my opinion this is crap and I wish that you would take the support of your club and many other IPSC members that would support you and put the BOD in their place. Politics is a very interesting game of which I have no interest unless it is federal, lol, but from what has been made public here, I will step out there and say that the BOD has overstepped their bounds and they need to be made accountable. I am sure that this is far from over and many more stones will be cast maybe one day we will act and funtion as a single unit with support for all.........OK, we can dream
