and what about his credentials as a Range Officer did he get them back?? plus did the board give kent a full apology too ??

Personally, I think there should be an apology posted on the IPSC Ontario Website, as well as the steps that are being taken, so something like this does not happen again!

The BOD never went public with anyone if this (rightfully so)...so a public apology is not warranted.

I think it's time for you guys to find something else to complain about

The board made a full apology and ate a lot of crow etc.

John did not have to step down, but chose to in order to help put this all behind us and start fresh.

The issue should be over now.

It is good to hear that happen, though it still amazing how fast IPSC Ontario web site been changed about Barrie match cancellation, but not back to where it started.

I'm curious if you think the same corrective action would have been taken if John hadn't gone public?

I may have an opinion on that!
I don't think so. It needed to go public.
We (Kent and I) got our apologies.

I think we as IPSC ONT shooters should be more involved with the BOD so that they know what we want and why we voted for them in the first place.

Guys get more involved with your Club Reps and your Ont Bod.
We get the people we deserve in the end anyway.

No I would not say that it is warranted.

REQUIRED is the word you are looking for.

Th

The issue should be over now.

It will not be over until there exists a constitution with a mechanism in place to prevent situations like this from developing at all.

If we go along thinking it should all be over now.............it is doomed to happen again.

I respectfully disagree.

At the time John had no other options.

I hope that as a result of this fiasco changes will be made to ensure that not only this does not happen again but more importantly CANNOT happen again.

That is fair, If John had kept it to himself, then yes , I agree with you.

But, I take Public to mean all IPSC shooters.
If we, the club reps ,had known, I suspect the results would have been the same. Maybe not in the same time frame but ...

Nonesense...

You all seem quite convinced that all sides have been equally and fairly represented in this (and the other) thread.

My guess is that the threads have been rather one sided...and the BOD chose not to make this a public spectacle (and good for them for making that decision)

No one who has so generously given up their free time to ##### and moan in the two offending threads can say they have full visibility on what happened...from all sides.

Case and point...it has been resolved...and you guys are still beating it to death...

Something tells me there will be alot of 6 inch ports at the Super 3 gun this year :runaway:

The situation as it stands now is as if NONE of it ever happened.
While that can never be truly how it is, it is time to try and forget this and move forward.

But they did go public. They had changed the "official" match web page without providing an explanation. The page still in that big red "announcement" state, so I believe the BoD still owes us some explanation.

Well let me ask you one question then (remembering that I am on the outside looking in and have no first hand knowledge and as such am not making any accusations)

If you had it to do over again...would you do anything differently?

I may have an opinion on that!
